Puyallup Auto Center Stormy and Terry Unprofessional, rude, hung up three times, never returns calls, delayed sending title, pulled credit score multiple times without consent. Puyallup, Washington

*REBUTTAL Owner of company: Thank you for letting us know, but...

Show customers why they should trust your business over your competitors...

We came to buy a used truck, we told the salesman that we wanted our credit only pulled once and that if it didn't work out with their bank then we would use our own. The sales manager, Stormy, was mentioning how he randomly pulls customers credit, the ones that never ended up buying a car from them, so that was odd and seemed very illegal!! In the mean time, they worked out a deal with their bank and we signed the contract same day and bought the car.

Two days later they tell us the contact doesn't match the bank's policy and that we would have to re-sign a new contract with a higher monthly payment, and then they said another bank approved us for a better rate (though we never gave them consent to run our credit for another bank). Then, via fedex mail, we signed and returned the new contract.

Then, almost four days later they call saying one of our ssn does not match our birth year so they have to redu the contract under one of us not joint. So, via mail, we signed and returned the new contract and never hear back from them again.

We call and get attitude from both the sales managers, Stormy and Terry, and was hung up on three times. They refused to send our title to the dmv, they lied saying an employee was not there but in fact they were because we called back to verify. They never returned calls when promised. They blamed us, as the customers, for delaying the loan processing and complained that all they want is their money. Very unprofessional, very rude, and we continue getting many letters from different banks showing that our credit was pulled over six times and now our credit score is significantly lower. This place is a joke.

#1 REBUTTAL Owner of company

Thank you for letting us know, but...

AUTHOR: PAC - (United States of America)

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for writing about our company! This is a great chance for us to bring some facts to light so the people have heard from both sides. As far as pulling your credit one or more times is concerned, It should be noted that we use A couple of systems to submit clients information to the lenders for their consideration.

Each one (such as CUDL) has several banks and lenders within its system to determine which one can best provide the financing for this particular client and the vehicle that they are interested in. It is them that look into the clients information to see if they can provide the financing. Puyallup Auto Center submits the information to the site once. It is the system that tries to match the best financial institution to that client and the vehicle they are interested in based on their particular criteria. If for any reason we need to access your information, we can go back to the system and look at the information WITHOUT pulling it again.

As to the issue of re-signing for the loan and Social Security Number is concerned, we have no desire to make things more complicated than they need to be. Keep in mind, we will not be funded from the bank unless they have all of the necessary documents that they need. We act as their agent to collect whatever documents needed from the client. For example, if they need supporting documents on a clients social security number, we then have to ask the client to provide that so we may pass it along to the bank.

We can not complete the deal and transfer the title until the bank has given it's final approval and that does not happen until they have everything that they need. In closing we like to apologize to you if you felt like we did not care about your wishes and if we in anyway did not show you the respect that you had expected. We care about all our customers equally and want them to do business with us again. Once again thank you for bringing this to our attention.
