On June 5, 2009, I saw an ad in our local paper offering trial samples for acai berry products for only shipping costs of $4.99 each.  I went on their internet site and tried to place an order for two products using my MasterCard.

The next day I got two emails (one for each product), stating that my order had been unsuccessful.  I immediately emailed back, telling them to cancel both orders.  I received two replies stating that my orders had been cancelled.

On June 26, I got my credit card statement and low and behold, there was a charge for $94.68 CDN from Quality Health.  I immediately contacted MasterCard to report this and they said I had to try to contact the company and that their telephone number was on the statement.

I then contacted the company and was assured someone would be in touch with me to confirm a refund would be put through on my credit card.  I heard nothing from Quality Health and again contacted MasterCard.  They asked that I fax hard copies of my exchange of emails to their Dispute Department, which I did.

On August 14, 2009, I got my next credit card statement and guess what - there was a charge for $155.88 CDN from XM Labs.

I again contacted my credit card company and lodged another complaint.  They have said it would take 6-8 weeks for an investigation.

These companies are total frauds.  Even after I had confirmed cancellation of my orders, they went ahead and shipped product(s) and continued to charge against my MasterCard.

I am not sure if my MasterCard (Canadian Tire) will do anything for me.  At this point, I feel the only way to avoid further charges is to cancel my card and wait for another number to be issued to me.

Does anyone else have any suggestions to end this nightmare for me?
