On 12/18/06 my husband picked up our dry cleaning and in it were a brand new sweater-(worn 1 time) I had just purchased at Neiman Marcus- 100% wool- fit me perfectly and was $98.00. Also included were a pair of BCBG black pants- had them for about 6 months they cost $135.00 new.

My husband brings the items home and just hangs them in the closet- the next day we are flying out of town to visit family for the holidays. The sweater is folded on a hanger and enclosed in plastic as are the pants- I just packed them as they were. I now know I should have checked.

When I unpacked, I discovered the sweater had pills all over it under the arms and around the cuffs and bottom, it also had shrunk about 4 inches in the arms and waist- it did not fit at all, the pants had been cuffed! With some type of sticky tape that was now embedded in the fabric- I thought they were just pressed like that and pulled to reveal the fabric tape.

Now I am tall very long arms and legs- not easy to buy off the rack. So now I have a sweater that will fit a child and pants that have fabric tape glued to the bottom. If I were them so they are long enough then the tape shows- I can't seem to get it out. If I try to roll them up they are too short.

So I call from out of town and I am told that the sweater- even thought it said on the label-DRY CLEAN ONLY- and we always ask for only dry cleaning- was laundered. They said if I had returned it with in 48 hours with the ticket they could help me, but since it had been three days there was nothing they could do.

Now for the kicker I asked them why they would cuff my pants when they were not cuffed before- they said they looked too long! What??? So it is up to them to alter my clothes- they even put a courtesy tag on them as if they were giving me a free service- no thanks- you just ruined my favorite pair of black pants.

I asked to speak with a manager- they told me they would call me. Several more requests by me to get a call today is 2/15/07 and still no call, all I get is the run-around.

I hope they go out of business! I don't have the time to persue it any further as I am very busy with work and my family but I will be sure to tell anyone I can not to do business with them.
