Quality Wholesale Homes, Goldbilt Homes Took my money and ran Washington; Billings Montana

We gave Quality Wholesale Homes our deposit, had the house picked out, the workorder done, everything signed; had applied for a loan which has been approved. Then Doug Spicer, our rep, called to tell me that Quality Wholesale homes is now Goldbilt Homes and they are no longer dealing with Fleetwood but with Kit homes. But the deposit we gave and the special on the set up and delivery would be honored. So we had to start the process of finding a floorplan we liked all over again.

Finally found a floorplan, signed the new workorder and have been waiting for them to get the website updated so I could look at colors and flooring.

Ron, from Land/Home Financial, called me yesterday, 8/03/2009, to tell me he just found out that Goldbilt has closed down, everyone was fired, and the owner is in South Carolina. Went from a million dollar company to broke and having to sell off some of their assets to pay some bills.

I have tried to call Goldbilt, but no one is answering the phones. I have tried calling Quality Wholesale Homes, but an operator comes on and says all circuits are busy right now, call back later.

I would like our deposit back so we can repair the teardown work we had started. We now need to replace shingles on the patio roof and the concrete walkway. All done in preparation for the new house we are not getting!
