I feel like we're singing the same song, just the next verse! We purchased tile flooring for our home with a 12 month "finance charge free" promotion. We were not aware nor was it explained to us that our credit limit would not include the addumulated finance charges(although GE CAPITAL says it is stated in the contract my husband signed). Therefore we've been accumulating $29 overlimit fees every month. When I called to ask if these could be adjusted off (as many & most other credit card companies will do as a courtesy for their customers)I was told absolutely not & that the fees would continue until the balance was below the stipulated credit limit. Then they actually asked if we wanted to keep the credit line open - we emphatically said NO! It truly is a "buyer beware" world out there!
