I foolishly did the quibids free trial.I thought thesehat first bids were free and that my CC would not be charged iunless I chose to purchase "real bids".Ofcourse I did not (knowingly) do this, but when I saw my statement, they had charged me $60.

Upon cancelling my trial I was told that they couldn't get my money refunded because I had already used "real bids".I would never have knowingly did that.I feel that together this site has been doinv this for awhile. It is a sickeningly dishonest tactic to get $60 out of everyone that makes the mistake of starting a free trial account on this site.

Anyhow, I will continue to check in on any updates regarding this matter. My ultimate goal is to get enough people together to bring a class action suit against this site.

QuiBids Response: First Purchase

AUTHOR: QuiBids Support Rep - ()

POSTED: Friday, August 22, 2014

We try to provide as much information upfront to inform potential customers that QuiBids is a pay-to-participate site. If you purchased bids and did not wish to, we have 100% guarantee refund of any unused purchased bids.

If you were unsuccessful in winning the auction, don't lose hope! We offer what is called the Buy Now option. The Buy Now feature offers you the chance to purchase any product at any time during the auction and for up to 2 hours after the auction ends. By utilizing the Buy Now feature, an investment of real bids never has to go to waste. Any ‘real’ bids you place in an auction will be discounted off of the Value Price. Please note: Voucher Bids have no monetary value, therefore do not apply towards the value price when utilizing the Buy Now feature.

Below is an example of how your discount Buy Now price is calculated:
Value Price: $100.00
Discount: Real Bids Placed x Bid Price: 100 x $0.60 = $60.00
Buy Now Price: $100 - $60 = $40.00 + Shipping/Taxes (if applicable)

I hope this helps provide some clarification! You can find more information regarding the Buy Now here: http://blog.quibids.com/how-to-use-buy-now-to-your-advantage/

Please feel free to email us at support@quibids.com or call 1-855-QUIBIDS (784-2437) or 405-253-2038 anytime Monday-Friday 9AM-5PM CST and we will be happy to further assist you!

I never purchased a package.I was told my initial bets were free, possibly due to a promo at the time. When it finally bought me to the real bids packages,I stopped. So yes,I started an account, but I never willingly purchased a package.I only used what appeared to be introductory free bids

We sincerely do apologize for any confusion you may have experienced on Quibids. However,on Quibids you will never be charged for anything without your consent.

Quibids is a pay-to-play system. Creating an account is free, but participating in auctions on the site is not. You first have to purchase bids in packages to use in the auctions. They are .60 a piece, and can be found in packages from 45 all the way up to 300 bids. After you have successfully purchased a bid package, you are free to bid in auctions on the site.

At any time, if you would like a refund on your unused bids, we would be happy to process you a refund. If you would like to contact us personally with any further questions, you can do so by phone at 1-855-QUIBIDS, or by email at support@quibids.com.

Sincerely,

Quibids Support
