A STERN warning to anyone considering signing up with QUIBIDS! Read this now...
I signed up for QUIBIDS today and I was shocked to see that QUIBIDS IMMEDIATELY charged my credit card for $60.00!
NO warnings about the $60.00 billing and in all that I read BEFORE I entered my credit card I was never given a option to be billed for ANY amount.
Now I understand that that I must buy bid points to participate in Auctions, but "I" and all members should always have the option to select the amount of points WE wish to buy! It's as simple as that.
In truth, I wanted to buy $25.00 to start and everything I read said I would be able to buy my points "later" after I signed up, but $60.00 is a lot of money that I never expected to spend.
*** I sent a message to support@quibids.com requesting a FULL refund and I received a automated response. Tomorrow I will contact my credit card company to see if there is anything they can do to. ***
I think everyone agrees, these kinds of deceptive 'sign-ups' should be against the law! The QUIBIDS sign-up page should CLEARLY include a message right up-front that QUIBIDS intended to bill new members $60.00 and how difficult is that? If I knew of that policy I never would have signed-up, but they didn't bother to do that. In my estimation it is both dishonest and deceptive for anyone to do business like this.
Readers please, KNOW you WILL be billed $60.00 right up front! You have been warned.
I promise to let everyone know how QUIBIDS responds to my complaint. If QUIBIDS fails to refund my money I will escalate my complaints to the State of Oklahoma, the Better Business Bureau, all of Oklahomas' politicians and to every federal agency I can find.

I signed up for QuiBids about 2-3 months ago after being enticed by a TV commercial. As the TV commercials seem too-good-to-be-true, I read through the FAQs before signing up.
I, like you, wanted to only sign up for $25.00. As I progressed through the sign-up pages, when entering my credit card info, it clearly said the initial big package was 100 bids and would be billed at $60.00.
Perhaps in your hurry to sign up you were just filling in the blanks and didn't pay attention? I see you filed this report on July 11, 2011. Since I have signed up well before you and can attest that it was clear how much I was paying, I doubt they changed it to dupe people all of a sudden when they're already very popular?
I'd also like to point out that if you had read the FAQs, you did not need to go to war with them over your $60.00. It says clearly in their help section:
""""What if I purchase a bid pack and then decide not to participate on the site?Bids from purchased bid packs that are unused are always fully refundable. Bids that have been used in an auction, however, are no longer refundable. """"
So, you see? Any bids you pay for may always be refunded, no questions asked. Voucher bids (aka bonus bids or bids won in auctions are not refundable). Also, typing things in CAPS does not MEAN that you are RIGHT, or make things seem like more of an OUTRAGE.
I eventually did sign up, and to this day am quite happy with the site, however, I would advise anyone interested in signing up to read through the help and FAQs before you get going.

I suspect QUIBIDS has been receiving a tremendous amount of bad press and that they are trying to improve.
I contacted QUIBIDS and opted to have a online 'Chat' with one of their reps, "Amanda". She was very understanding and she issued a almost immediate refund. She said the actual refund would take 2 days, but the eMail message said up to five business days.
I want to tell you all that I was all set to go to war over the $60.00 charge, but QUIBIDS is now promising a prompt (enough) refund.
Please know I have learned a real lesson and in the future, BEFORE I sign up with any online business, I will check here first!
Keep your helmets on folks and be safe.
