On July 10, 2009, I did a search for auto transport companies to ship my 2 vehicles from Dallas, Tx. to Orlando, Fl. I searched and received quotes from almost 50 companies until I found the least expensive one. I hired Quick Auto Transport to ship my vehicles, the owner requested a $300.00 deposit of $750.00, and 2 days later emailed a contract to sign and send back. The agreement was that the deposit would only be collected once my vehicles were loaded and ready to ship. From July 10th to August 24th, I have only made contact with the owner 2 times after several phone messages and emails that never received a response. One of the contact phone numbers didn't exist, and realizing that the scheduled pick-up date was less than a week away and I had a flight out to Orlando the next morning; I could not predict if or when my vehicles were going to be shipped. The way I was forced to assume is that money was taken, and no truck was arriving to pick-up my vehicles. I had to cancel the service, even though I knew no one was to arrive, contact my credit card company to conduct an investigation and recover the funds from his bank and then hire another reputable company who would schedule a pick-up at last minute. The name of this owner is John Osborne who I think works alone out of his home for all I know; because the phone always goes to voice mail. His website is very impressive until you conduct business with him afterwards. This comapny is not affilliated with Better Business Bureau, transport reviews.com, and the Federal Motor Carriers Safety Administration has notified me that his comapny isn't registered in their database. I could kick myself for not doing this extensive research before doing any business with Quick Auto Transport. But now I know, I feel that I have to pass this information along and issue a word of caution against this company and its' owner.
