then eliminating the public street parking that left neighbors stranded to park, 19 noisy vacuums running all day long, also having more than 200 or 300 more cars look into your property daily while waiting in line (it is like we have to keep our screens down because of people starring into our property ) and etc. How are we supposed to put up with this Hamish Marshal? I would like to see a car wash built 20 feet near Hamish Marshals house and see what he thinks. We're sick to our stomachs of this noisy car wash, can't even go outside anymore. What an insult to put something in a quiet neighborhood, we feel totally taken advantage of, it completely sucks here now.
This Quiky car wash has completely ruined the neighborhood, there is flat out no peace at all anymore because of this multimillionaire Hamish Marshal decided to put a car wash into an area that was quiet to begin with, not anymore. It was like he decided to violate our living situation to put a car wash that sounds like a water festival or constant street sweeper ringing and ringing over and over.
Talk about being cheated, the housing is now being impacted by the property values as who is going to buy or even rent a home here. I mean seriously who is going to pay for their loses when people start leaving or selling their homes with taking a hit on their property values? Who's getting ripped off here? When people's homes go down in value over a car wash, who's getting ripped off Harmish Marshal?
The quality of life here is awful because of hearing this car wash running all day long, it sucks. I feel like I lost my home and my place of peace.
Shame on you Hamish Marshal for ruining the neighborhood and screwing up our living space. This car wash should be shut down and move, they are not welcome here!!

2959 Broad st Quiky Car Wash violates City signage rules, SHAME!

The people at the 2959 Broad street Quiky Car Wash of San Luis Obispo continue to violate the City signage rules, SHAME.
As agreed upon on August 2012, the owner Hamish & Jill Marshall of Westpac Investments that they must turn the street signs off after hours if they were given a sign as they pleaded for one; they have not followed though at all. Not only have they violated it but they have been told so many times by City officials they are in violation of leaving their car wash sign lights on and they ignored the warnings as the place is a liability to people thinking they are open are not left on to backing up on to oncoming traffic because of this absurd signage left on. Hamish Marshall a billionaire who just wants to do nothing on his dying car wash business to leave it open on paying employees who have no work to do to forget to turn off the street lights and etc things that should be done.
There is basically no management or the management is not doing their job.
I guess Harmish can afford to spend and spend money since he has so much of it to do what he wants and this is the result; $9.00 an hour employees can horse around in a car wash.

Noise continues at the Quiky Car Wash and the owner has doing nothing

Quiky Car Wash owner continues to ignore surrounding noise complaints on his car wash on a business that brings in no business. Many folks ask when is it when is the owner going to realize this business is not working, no customers, no revenue. But hey WestPac Investments made over $6.8 billion dollars in 2011 on banking and has over $870 billion in assets, you think Hamish Marshall would think of how much a noisy car wash is worth it to stay open considering all the money his family has in Austrilla. This guy has been handed so much money to buy properties to spend spend spend on crazy ideas with the City of San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara and etc places.
Folks that live and hear this noisy car wash everyday wonder when this Hamish will use common sense to realize he's wasting his families money on a toy car wash. It is obvious the City made a screw up approving this project as everybody wants his money. Who's being paid off from the City Planning Department avoiding notifying people of such crazy projects, considering the wild idea of a helicopter landing pad downtown for Garden street or the s****.>

The Quiky Car Wash is stiring up anger with the residents

I live right near this car wash and I hear the end of the cash wash tunnel consistently all throughout the day. I have a night job and it is a real bother for me to sleep in the daytime. I made a complaint to this owner and nothing is going to be done about the problem. I agree with the original complaint that this is a big problem and the City of San Luis Obispo made a terrible decision to approve this business in an area where people live. We have lived in this area for quite a while when the original location was a furniture store but they took half of that location where they decided to build car wash on a residential side of that same building. Doesn't make one darn of sense for the developers to think this was going to be tolerated with the long term people that live here. If I were to call my real estate agent and call my bank that my house is losing value on a car wash - they will tell me to hire a lawyer because the cost the house has lost already will not pay my mortgage off if I sell the home. This is an issue that affects a lot of people now and where in the world were these business owners thinking when they saw the homes on both corners of this lot? I personally think they thought this is section 8 housing and they can do what they want. It is purely nonsense and if I lose value which already seems to be the case I will send the City Architecture Review Commission and the owner a bill for the loss I should be entitled to if I decide to leave.
