Buyer beware! Use extreme caution when purchasing a vehicle from Rachid's Auto Sales, or better yet don't! Dealt with Rachid himself to test drive a too-good-to-be-true 2012 Mazda 3. Wanted black book value for it, represented it as a rental auctioned vehicle that was sitting on his lot too long. Test drove it, drove fine, offered a $500 discount for me to put a deposit down today. So I did what anyone excited to be buying their first car would do and put down a deposit. This was over a long weekend so had to wait until registry & insurance companies to open up in Tuesday which was great - also gave time to get a safety inspection completed. Heard back Tuesday evening that everything came back fine on the inspection and he had fixed burnt out lights as per our agreement and I could come pick it up anytime.

Thank goodness my boyfriend is paranoid and made me get a car fax 30 minutes prior to going to the insurance company. Turns out Rachid's Auto Sales is in the business of picking up salvaged cars from the salvage yard & fixing them up at his second business - a repair shop and misrepresenting these cars as previous rentals. Upon going to pick up my deposit, he refused to discuss the prior history of the car and claimed he had no idea. Claimed my deposit was not taken successfully and refused to refund it with me there saying that he would call in and get it reversed but I did not need to hang around (probably because there was a new couple of shmucks on his yard looking at a truck). Still have yet to recieve my deposit back...

Scammed me too! AMVIC is in involved now.

I too was the victim of Richard's smooth  talking, and fraudulant actions of witholding vital information about a car. He is masterful at leading you to believe his cars are top quality, and that he will go above and beyond to make sure he has your back if anything were to go wrong with it. He provided an inspection report on a car that never should have passed an inspection, and didn't disclose that it had an existing lien on it. So that when it came time to be paid out for the accident I had in it, my funds have been withehld and I've been left without a car or money for over 6 months despite his promises to make sure it gets taken care of. He promised me many times he would take care of me in this.

The day after I bought the car I came outside to an enormous pool of different fluids the length of the car. The air conditioning didn't work and the steering once I got on the hiway was dangerously vearing to the side of the road. A mechanic said it never should have passed inspection. Over $2000 worth of work done had to be done to correct damage from a previous accident. None of the problems had been disclosed or showed up on the inspection reportt. Richard only agreed to pay for the repairs when going to AMVIC was threatened, and the mechanic pressed him to do them or he wouldn't release the car from his shop.

The day after I got the car home I was hit and it was considered a right off. When insurance went to pay me out they said they discovered there was a lien on the car and they had to hold the funds until resolve was found. Richard spent a whole month blowing me off when I tried to question him about the issue. After persistance by my insurance, and new promises  to involve AMVIC, and suing him, he continues to avoid the issue.  Richard promised on numerous occasions to fix this issue and 6 months later I have no car and no payout from insurance. Instead he continues to pass the buck. It is illegal for a dealer to sell a car with a lien on it. As a dealer it's his job to discluse this kind of information. AMVIC is now recently involved and legal action is going to be taking place finally. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS GUY!

False claim

Hi,

The client was aware of the car's history. The client used a pre-paid visa for the deposit. We refunded back the money to the same card, as per the rules, but because it is a pre-paid visa, visa informed us and the client that it will take 3-4 weeks to deposit the money.

It was not in our hand, but it is Visa's policy that takes up to 4 weeks to refund a pre-paid card.
