I purchased two Auvio headsets from Radio Shack within the last year and paid warranty coverage for both.

Within the warrenty period, each set became stopped playing from one earpiece. I went to the Radio Shack store five times and each time I was told that I would receive a gift card in the mail wiithin a few week. I never received the card. Last week I spoke to the manager who confirmed that I had in fact purchased the phones and that they were under warranty, and I would recieve the gift card in a few days.

I still did not receive the card. I went back to the store and a different employee called Radio Shack customer service and was told that I would recieve reimbursement for only one phone. As I left the store, an employee apologized and told me that RS was changing its warranty policy and it would be better. Lesson - don't buy a warranty from Radio Shack. Why should I believe them?

Radio shack cannot aborgate its responsibilty for ensuring that its warranty providers are delivering the service that Radio shack both encourages, sales to its customers, and certainly receives profit. It is my belief that the company (RS) is liable for making accurate claims regarding the warranty services that are paid to RS stores by customers and actively sold by RS employees. It should not be the customers responsibility to communicate with a third party warranty company to pursue redress.

I finally received a gift card for only one headset - six weeks after contacting RS and turning in my headsets.

In a class-action lawsuit, any company that promises and sales extended warranties, regardless of whether or not the warranty is facilitated through an agreement with Radioshack, is liable for not rendering services. In addition, to file the claim, the customer must communicate through the local store.

Imagine purchasing an extended and costly warranty for an automobile through a local dealership. By the preceeding logic, if services aren't rendered and the warranty honored, I can't imagine that the dealership would not be held accountable by the courts.

Did you have it sent to your email? If you did you were probably looking for a radioshack email address. When my e giftcard came it wasnt from radioshack. It was from CASHSTAR. I would check your email and your spam filters. You may have had your gift card all this time. You just didnt have all the information. And yes radioshack did roll out a new warrenty service. They now have instore replacments from day one. That really helps me when my cat eats a cable.

And you do realize that you are bashing the wrong ppl. Radioshack doesnt handle thier own warrenties. That goes through Assurant. So your complaint needs to be against them. It sounds like your local store has done everything they can. But hey, you could be one of those ppl where nothing makes them happy and no matter what is done for you, you will always hold others to a higher standard then you hold yourself.
