I recently received a phone call from Ramada Plaza Resort & Imperial Majesty Cruise Lines stating I had won a contest for a free trip to Floriday and the Bahamas. Me being the skeptic, that I am did not believe this. However, once he said that they were exhibitors at the Minnesota Food and Wine Experience I was hooked. He claimed out of 63 people, I was the lucky winner! I believed him. I remember filling out the form and submitted to win this vacation.

The man name "Melvin Hipp" (fishy) had all my information that I had filled out at the show. I claimed that I was really skeptical about the whole thing and he came back saying "We were at a state sponsored event, this is real. We couldn't do this and be an exhibitor. We give this trip out twice a year, once at this Food and Wine Experience and again at a different show in FL"

I again, started to actually feel excited thinking I really won this trip! He explained to me detail by detail what the trip entited - including a 3 night stay in Orlando, 3 day cruise followed by another 3 day stay in Orlando. Free rental car. Free vouchers? Whatever that means. He spoke fast and quick, with an accent so it was incredibly hard to understand him. I told him, I was at work and did not have my credit card information on me. He said that he needed this information before sending me my packet because he needed to reserve my spot. Sketchy. He asked me a better time to call and hung up on me. I was no good without a credit card number. I contacted the Food and Wine show and they had no idea this was going on.

That is when I decided to do some research and came upon this lovely website. Thanks so much to everyone that saved me from getting ripped off for hundreds of dollars!!! My friend Melvin in calling me tonight to close the deal and I'm going to tell him to go screw himself! Be careful of this scam! Even though they seem legit - If its too good to be true- IT IS! Listen to you gut.
