Rca/ thomson Consumer Relations i bought an rca 50 inch tv/ extended warranty 10/9/06 been at elwin tv repair for last six weeks. wanted replacemant but still getting nowhere Indianappolis Indiana

i bought an rca tv from walmart on10/9/06. i also purchased a warranty from thomson consumer relations.as of today 2/27/08 i have not been able to speak with anyone from rca. thomson has given me the runaround since day 1and my tv has been at elwin tv for the last six weeks.i will never buy another rca product .they are all in it together so i guess i lose 1200 dollars and after one and a half years my last option is to go buy another tv.
do your self a favor. dont buy rca,dont buy any warrantys involving thomson consumer relations, and elwin tv and repair are not your friends either.

Hi shawn,
I just went through the exact same thing with them. One of the computer boards went out in my tv it had no sound. The repair man came out (John's Tv Repair) from Portage IN to my house. He hooked me up with some cables so i could get sound only through my surround sound. Here's the good part. It took almost 5 weeks for Thompson/RCA to find him. All the other repair services here flat out refused to do anything stating RCA does not pay their bills. I ended up contacting the Indiana Attorney General and was given a new set from RCA almost 5 months later. It is a frustrating process I know. I too would not recommend anything from RCA(mp3 player, VCR DVD)...anything. Good luck with your quest
