RCI Auctions is an online auction site that sells used equipment to its customer base. I have proof and first hand knowledge that they auctions they conduct are in my opinion fraudalent. This is how:
First a customer also known as BIDDER chooses items they wish to bid on they then have the choice to place their initial bid followed by a Max Bid. The Max bid is secret only known to the Bidder and RCI Auctions. If another legitamte Bidder bids higher than the initial bid then the bid is raised to that bid level. If the origianl bidders MAx Bid is higher than the new bid then the new bid raises the next bid level.
RCI Auctions opens fake bidder numbers and then they look at the Max Bids on items of other bidders and they routinley create minimum bids on items staying below the Max Bid of the other bidders but raising the bids up to the max bid.
The Legitamte bidder thinks that a fair auction is being handled and that they have an opportunity to possibly win items at the lowest price possible but in reality they are at times bidding against the company insider who makes sure the ending bid is close to the maximum bid that the legitmate bidder placed.
As a bidder I would expect that my bids and max bids are completely confidential and that RCI Auctions are not using that information to bid against me.

Disgruntled Ex-Associate

This totally unsubstantiated and absurd report was submitted by a disgruntled ex associate. There is not one piece of proof, just his way of trying to get back at the company. I have worked with RCI for some time, and find them to be totally above board and they actually bend over backwards to help the bidders get the best value possible.
The company will research shipping options to save the bidders money and contact them when some item they are looking for comes up for auction. If this ex associate has proof, I would like to see it, otherwise, I suggest this Ripoff Report be removed.

I have been a customer of RCI for over two years. I'be used the Max bid feature numerous times with excellent results. Many times I have won the item with just my first bid. I find this accusation very hard to believe based on my experience with them.

1. Freedom of Speech is just that. The OP must have some feeling or knowledge of bid rigging. (which by the way is a felony). But than RCI is not a licensed auctioneer. Only a middle man. I can not see for any reason why any consumer would want to make this type of claim, if they truly did not feel they were correct. And even states they have proof. I wish to know what that proof really is.
2. RCI seems to be building quite a file on here, so do you plan on suing us all? Because I have no problems giving you my address. But wait a minute you have it as I am one of the posters on a complaint on here, that you have never responded to. Or have you ripped off so many people and my story is not unique (as I suspect) that I could be just a number of many. Which by the way it is a shame that such a young company has as many complaints as RCI does.
3. Are you going to use the information in these reports to better RCI or are you just going to change the name of the business again, in hopes to start over fresh? Bad business practices are like bad habits, really hard to break and change. They will follow you to whatever new name you choose.

I have no opinion on the actual complaint, I just think you will not have much of a case. Now if, as you say, this is not an isolated incident, then maybe you have a case if the other incidents are more serious than this one. But you are right, I am not a lawyer; if you do prevail, by all means post an image of the judgement and I'll gladly eat crow.

HEY Steve we both know that this is more than one person posting since Im not you and your not me so isn't "The Owners" accusation that it is the same person SLANDER? If you use his ignorance and apply it to his responses than we can make the same allegation of him/her. Anyway "Me Myself and I" if your company was operating on the up and up or not having issues with people you wouldn't have anyone running a "Smear Campaign" obviously something happen to at least one person to cause what you are claiming but since it appears there really is several people on here complaining I think its probably safe to say there is a major problem with RCI AUCTIONS! Good luck with your lawsuit I'm sure it will be quite expensive to find out you cant do a d**n thing.... LMAO!

Steve - you are not a lawyer and you are probably the same person as the OP judging on previous information we know about you.
In response to your post however - Our lawyer is not laughing. There is a lot more going on than this single ripoffreport.
For anyone actually reading this report - this is a smear campaign. I'm sure more responses from made up names will appear on this website.
Unless any new/relevant information is posted in this thread, RCI will not reply.

Nothing the OP said was libelous; to win a libel suit you have to prove the defendant was intentionally lying. In this case it looks like he/she may actually think there is funny business going on.
To get her personal information, you would need a court order, and again, you just ain't gonna get it. Though since you seem to know who she is, I'd imagine that is not a huge deal.

This is not true. For the general public and our buyers, the business liquidation online auction industry can be a marketplace worth using caution when dealing with as all items are sold as-is where-is with no guarantees.
The accusation made in this report of bidding up our customers is not true and is only an attempt to hurt RCI. If a customer/bidder of ours or any other company is worried about this type of behavior then my suggestion would be do NOT use the Max Bids feature. Customers of ours always get great deals.
The person writting this report sounds like a disgruntled customer and we are pretty sure who it is. Just looking at the gramatical errors in the report is clue enough for us as to your identity. A copy of this report will be sent to our attorney for possible defamation. Because you are such a smart person and know it all I'm sure you are aware that RipoffReport does not protect your identity in these matters.
