To begin, I want to thank those who have reported scams, or I might have been played a fool as well. Reading Associates of America almost had me. To those who have not heard of this company, beware, don't buy, and just for fun slam the door on them.

It was 8pm and I had a very sweet, and very convincing girl knock on my door. She smoothed me over with the same "feel sorry for me" story everyone else has experienced when encountering this company's sales reps. Only 5 magazine sales away until she would have had a free trip to London, and $2000.00 in her pocket for school, books, etc. I would have made her that one sale closer, until I read the rip-off reports others have made.

I bought the year subscription with my card, yes I was super duped and gave her my card number. Anyways, after she had left my apartment I got online to check out the company's attributes. Not good, and I suddenly felt sick to my stomach thinking of these people out there with my credit card number. Read the "reciept" that she gave me and felt even more ill. Yes, I was $1.00 under the limit to cancel my purchase. But, then I remembered asking her how she came to be in my neighborhood and she told me that the company drops them in big vans to canvas good areas. These reps are from, "out of town", and don't know their way around.

So, I jumped in my car to go find this girl to get my information back. I live in a gated community and was able to sit inside the gate to watch for suspicious vehicles. One great big purple van came rolling in. I got behind them, and soon the girl came running up to the vehicle. I flashed my headlights at her, she started running faster while pretending not to hear me shouting, "come here! I want my information back!". Even more suspicious, the van sped off like I was a cop about to arrest some thug.

Thats what this company, Reading Associates of America, is...thieves running in the night making a living stealing individuals money for the promise of some crummy magazine. Thugs, Lo-lifes, losers. Who leaves a girl stranded when confronted by their scam? Just because they hide behind false kindness. Buyer beware! Like I said earlier, slam the door.

I thank those who have made reports on Reading Associates of America. You saved me alot of grief.
