REAL TIME RESOLUTIONS INC Trying to make me pay for a home that was foreclosed on 3 yrs. ago ! Dallas, Texas
*General Comment: not necessarily the case...
*Consumer Comment: Not how it works.
Real Time Resolutions is trying to make me pay for my home that was foreclosed on 3 years ago due to loss of employment! The home is still vacant! How can they do this? I never signed anything saying I would pay if I was foreclosed upon. I haven't lived in the home for 3 years! I turned keys in to the bank!

When you signed for the mortgage, you agreed to pay back what you borrowed. I seriously doubt they included some clause that said you could just hand back the keys and go on your merry way.
Forclosure does not erase a debt. If the home is forclosed and only brings 1/2 the loan value when sold, the borrower is still on the hook for the other half.
I think a lot of people who have the idea that they can just walk away and leave the lender holding the bag are going to be getting rude surprises in the coming years.
