Red Line Motors Total Rip Off Purcellville Virginia

I brought my 1995 Defender int Redline and was given an estimate of $700.  I got in the shop and met with Tom about the car and he wrote the same down on paper.  Tjey went to work on the car and then claimed it needed more than orginally thought and that the whole axile needed to be replaced.  This ended up being a $1225 repair.  Since it was twice the orginal amount I planned on asking to work with me on the bill.  I didnt even question the repair and they had it for over two weeks.  I should have gotten a second opinion as I found out later it didnt a new axle at all!  The last time I had the car there he charged me a whole hour to reconnect a vacum hose and when I talked to the mechanic he told me it only took 15 minutes to reconnect.  When I said something to Tom about this his respone was to smile and ask me who told me that.  When I told him he he became verblly abusive over the phone (like in his response below) telling me I was cheap and telling me that he owns 40 cars and doesnt need to waste time talking to a customer on the phone, he finally adimmited that he overchaged me and took a hald hour off the bill after being caught then hung up on me.  When I went to pay he wouldnt take Visa he would only take cash.  Redline is a total rip off stay away!
