I would like to convey to you the experience I had at the Muskogee Regal Car Sales dealership. I dealt with the lot manager on Saturday 9/21/13.

After completing a test drive the manager attempted to scam me with undeclared damages. He stated that the air dam on the under carriage was not hanging down prior to the test drive. I don't know if that's true or not, I do know that there were no fasteners in the sockets that would have held the dam in place as there should have been if I had caused any damage.

The fasteners either fell out or were never there which is a mechanic's failure. During the attempted scam I asked the manager if he was aware of the previous wreck, his body language said yes, but his voice said no. He clearly did not want to discuss the replaced hood (indicating that the bumper and dam may have been part of a front clip replacement).

I also pointed out other damage that the manager appeared unaware of, but consistent with a shoddy front clip replacement.

The next step in the scam would have been to tell me I owed Regal Car Sales for the damage to the vehicle and  then threaten to call the police. Fortunately he couldn't threaten me with the police for his phony damage claim because I was capable of pointing out clear evdence of a previous repair. After his attempt failed he told me that the car was not for sale to me.

I sent an email to Regal's home office regarding this. I got no response. It seems as though they are not bothered by this practice.

The internet is full of 'no u" artists.

You earned your reputation. You are the company that did it to someone, so you are the type of company that would do it to someone.

I hope that people see your lack of remorse and act accordingly.

Regal Car Sales is not a scam

Raymond,

That's really great that you were able to find another dealer to work with. We appreciate your interest in our company. Unfortunately, it didn't work out.

The only scam with this situation, is that you're posting on a review site and trying to lower our credibility. Sorry Raymond, we're just not the type of company that would do this to someone. I understand that it's frustrating when someone declines your offer to buy a vehicle, but we felt that it wouldn't have been in the best interest for our company.

I hope you have a great experience with your new dealership. From everyone here at Regal, have an AWESOME day!

Strange = scam?

There you have it, people. It's all good according to Regal's management. I'm driving my new car now. No problem finding someone willing to sell. My car cost less, has fewer miles, was maintained by better mechanics and sold by a more honest dealer.

I sincerely hope that you change you business practices so that hard working customers are able to trust the service that you so impudently provide now. BTW in that "completely subjective" argument there was an objective argument about why you couldn't come after me for damages. So saying that you wouldn't do something that you couldn't do is pretty self-serving.

Strange Incident

AUTHOR: Art Flywheel - ()

POSTED: Monday, September 30, 2013

Raymond,

Regardless of the outcome, this whole thing is strange at best. I'm not going to get into an internet squabble with your argument.

You took the vehicle for a test drive, alone. The vehicle came back with damage. Then you post a completely subjective argument that we would have come after you for the damages. We wouldn't have charged you because that's not how we do business. Regardless of the fact that you had $4K to put down on the vehicle, our manager decided it was not in the company's best interest to sell you a vehicle.

It's as simple as that. No one wants to look bad online, but there isn't any more that we can do for you. I sincerely hope that you find a different car dealer that is willing to do business with you Raymond.

Regards,

Art Flywheel, Online Spokesman for Regal Car Sales and Credit.

Not so much

Mr. Flywheel,

Perhaps it would have been better for you to have a system where my email actually gets read by someone before it gets to this stage. I sent the email through your website on Saturday 9/21/13. It included my return email address, one that I have had for 20+ years.

That email included a few details about the sale process; one: that I was not happy about being vetted before I had a chance to decide if the car was worth buying and two: I had $4,000 cash as a down payment which your manager was aware of because he'd seen my bank statements.

A person interested in selling a car would have been inclined to sell the car with a significant down payment like mine. Not so much for a person interested in obtaining my money for nothing.

Re: Regal Car Sales and Credit Muskogee car dealer attempts common scam Muskogee Oklahoma

AUTHOR: Art Flywheel - ()

POSTED: Tuesday, September 24, 2013

Sir,

I appreciate you bringing this to our attention. I did send back an email yesterday after I received the notice, unfortunately I received a Mailer Daemon notice meaning that the email was kicked back to me.

We apologize for the lack of service you received at our Muskogee location. This kind of experience is very rare for our company. Yesterday, after I received your notice, I immediately sent it to our upper management for review. Your concerns are not going un-noticed.

I will do my best to relay the information back to you once I find out something. I appreciate your initial interest in Regal and despite your most recent experience at our Muskogee lot, I hope that we can prove to you that we are a very capable and honest car dealer.

If you have any questions for me to forward on, please email me at aflywheel@regalcars.com.

Regards,

Art Flywheel, Online Spokesman for Regal Car Sales and Credit.
