I moved out of Regency Square Apartments on April 04, 2004, I had a credit to my apartment account ledger. It has been almost four months and I still have not received any money from them. I have written them many letters requesting the money they owe me.

The landlord / tenant law says you must allow tenants to be present during move-out inspection.
They would not do a move-out inspection with me. The day before I moved out my friend moved out of her apartment and the manager did her move-out inspection with her. My friend that moved out was white and I'm black so I was treated different when I went into the office.

Re: The real facts need to known on 7/9/2004

I'm also an ex-employee of Paul Ash Management Company. I have some things to say about the rebuttal Bruce Ash from the head office made on July 7, 2004. To get things started off he is four hours away in Tucson and not Yuma. How would he know what the staff in Yuma is doing? You can believe me when I say that the staff of Regency Square Apartments can be good liars.
Bruce only comes once a week and before he gets there management then wants to run around to do things that should already be done that same day before he gets there.

They said, they conduct regular training with the entire staff. That's so untrue because I worked for them for five months and didn't get trained on Fair Housing Rules.

How would you know if your staff fully explained things right to them because you're not there? When I was working there, I saw one of the employees tell new residents things that shouldn't be said to them.

How would you know the story about the baby was untrue? I have personally been in the office when somebody came into the office to report people who lived above them who children was too loud. The manager went up and gave the people a warning. If you leave down stair, you will always be able to hear the people above you. If you don't want to hear the people above you than move to an upstairs apartment.

You made a statement about as managers you protect all of your residents from noise problems caused by other. I know for a fact that's so untrue because I'm about to tell you why. This lady who lived in building 3 at Regency Square call and also put it in writing that her neighbors who lived right next door to her was having a lot of loud parties. She had a trouble get a hold of the night monitor because he had a pager and she didn't know how to put her number in when she called it.

I gave her my cell phone number because I lived on site she call many at least three different times and nights. I called the night monitor to come pick me up so that we could go over to hear the noise and we heard it before we got around to the back of the building. The only thing that we could do at the time is tell them to keep the noise down. We told the manager about it many times and she talked to the guys and they told a different story. She told the lady who was making the report that maybe she was out of line about it.

The manager never did anything to the guys in that apartment and they just kept having parties. Do you know what happen that lady and her family moved out. So see you made a good resident move out and let the bad resident stay. Which you'll lose a lot more people with them staying. So you don't protect all your residents from noise problems.

You always get one side of the story and never both sides. All the above things I just said was true and I have no reason to lie about anything. Yes, I did get fired from there but because of untrue statement and head office not getting both sides of the story. I have more about this company to say but I'll keep it for later.

AUTHOR: Bruce Ash - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, August 17, 2004

August 16, 2004

In early March 2004 we offered her supervisor a promotion and transfer to a sister property. While we considered the writer for this job we elected otherwise and hired another professional. Rather than cooperate with her new supervisor the writer instead attempted to subvert her and injure the business that employed her.

Shortly after her new supervisor started the writer left her position for one full week. When she returned we observed she was insubordinate, declined regular duties and was uncooperative with her fellow workers and our customers. We feel the writer may have been upset that she did not get promoted. I asked the writer to attend a telephone counseling session where she was presented with the problems we had recently experienced. I told her how disappointed I was with her new attitude in view of what had been an excellent work record. In front of her new supervisor, her former supervisor and me, she became argumentative and heaved her keys at the window. She was terminated at that point.

The writer was living at the apartment community and asked to vacate in accordance with her agreement. She overstayed under that agreement and as she left her post at the time of her termination she stole her employee file and lease agreement.

Due to the theft of her own file we were unable to refund prepaid amounts on deposit by the writer. When we were able to reconstruct the file and records we offered the writer a refund in exchange for a release of claims. She has declined to cooperate and has pressed on with her allegations of wrongdoing despite being rejected by the EEOC and State Attorney General.

Anyone can distort the facts. We operate our business in a professional manner and the facts speak for themselves. Don't be fooled by someone who has already proven herself to be disloyal and dishonest.
