I was contacted by a company titled the RTS Group which said that I had won a $1000 Internet shopping spree. The package that contained all of my information was going to be sent to me at a nominal charge of $4.95. The only payment method that they would accept was a bank draft from my checking account.

After I had been persuaded to accept their offer, they gave me phone numbers and confirmation numbers so that I could cancel at any time. They promised that I would absolutely not be drafted for more than $4.95. They lied. To my dismay, I found information on the internet after I had given them my information. The next day, I contacted the bank and had all bank drafts to stop from my account.

The company had sent out three letters from the following companies: Dialing USA, Fly Free Travel, and Ideal Wealth Builders. The small print stated that the offer could not be cancelled if ten days had passed since the letter was postmarked. Well, I received the letters after the 10 day deadline. The companies attempted to draft my account for the follwing amounts: $159.00, $139.00, and $89.94. I have tickets from the bank to prove this. I ended up having to close this account and open a new one.

Whatever you do, please Never give out your account information over the phone. I was blessed that they did not try and totally clear my bank account. Also, when I tried to contact them by phone, I only got some stupid music that went on and on forever and nobody ever answered.

Additional attempts to draft my account

AUTHOR: Laura - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, April 20, 2006

The companies that I previously talked about recently tried to draft the $4.95 from my bank account. I had already had all bank drafts stopped from coming out of that account. After all of my checks had cleared, I politely called the bank and had them to close that account. I had already opened a new account. Now, I don't have to worry about those frauds anymore.
