Renee Budz 2formeoneforyou Buyer Initiates undue refund after receipt of item Burbank, Illinois

I am a US Naval Veteran, and I purchased a one-of-a-kind pair of 18K Gold and Onyx cuff links while on deployment in 2006 in Dubai. They were purchased as a gift, but I ended up never giving them to the recipient, so I recently decided to sell them on eBay to help pay for my upcoming wedding.

I placed the item on Ebay, and after 2 hours, ebay user 2formeoneforyou (Renee Budz) purchased the item for $300 using the Buy it Now option. The item was paid for and shipped via Ebay using delivery confirmation. The delivery confirmation on the item was verified as delivered. Shortly after, Budz claimed that the item was not received. I placed a call to her Post Office, who verified via her carrier that the package was delivered. She continued to claim the item was not received and her mail service was "bad".

She initiated a refund, knowing as an experienced buyer that Ebay would process the refund because of the high dollar value of the item. As a current law enforcement employee, I found this to be suspicious, so I conducted my own investigation on the buyer. She has a large number of high-dollar civil judgments against her (from various companies, including a .com) for failure to pay. When I saw this, I realized that she had a history of not paying her obligations, and had no intention of truly paying me. When I confronted her about the information, she threatened to sue ME! For what, exactly? Uncovering your scam?!

Ms. Budz has my cuff links, and I will be forced to refund money that is rightfully mine, although it has been long spent on my wedding. I had to learn a $300 lesson, and I hope to protect others from doing the same. She is all over the internet offering to buy your jewelry for top dollar. DON'T DO IT! She will take your jewelry AND find a way to keep her money as well. I have reported her to Ebay (she's under investigation), the Internet Crime Complaint Center, and, as soon as my wedding planning is behind me, I will be pursuing this in small claims court.

But I'm sure to her, it will just be another civil judgment for money she never plans to pay.
