My boyfriend and I have been frantically searching for an affordable appartment in our area. I noticed a wesbite called RentalSoreUsa.com wich had 7 extremely reasonably priced apartments listen in our area. This is the same business that I had seen several listing on Craigslist advertising these available apartments. Now of course you can only get the listing info if you are a memeber. My boyfriend and I discussed and decided to just pay the $100 cause we where in desperate need of an apartment. I paid the $100 (after calling and asking numerous questions) signed up went online and started calling the listed contacts for the 7 apartments listed.

Out of the seven listed, two where listed twice and both where no longer available. This left me with three apartments. One had a disconected phone number listed. The other was no longer available and I'm still waiting for the third to call me back. (going on a week now) I started to feel as though I may have been ripped off.

I then sent an email to the company complaing about my findings and asked them if I had been conned. The owner called me that evening and assured me it was not and that he would make it a point to find me an apartment.

The next day RentalStore called me to tell me they made an apointment for me to see an apartment. Not only did they give me the wrong address and phone number but the address they gave me didnt even exist (we drove around and eventually found the apartment) Not only that but the landlord had never even heard of the RentalStoreUsa she said they just called her out of the blue the day before and told them a client wanted to see the apartment. By the time we called the landlord back the apartment was already taken.

I called the RentalStoreUsa that saturday afternoon and let them be aware of this and that I will still be searching for an apartment. I havent heard from them since. Also the not available apartments are still advertised on the website. I signed a contract stating no refunds and I dont know what to do.

You No longer receive e-mails because I shut it off and made it inactive..And Cut a check for your fee........E-mail me An Address and I will mail it........ASAP

yes we do put listings on ourselfs....and we do make mistakes........


We Are Human.......I'm Guessing you never make mistakes.

And Yes I have been in rentals since 1986

My Former broker retired January of 06........so we Incorporated Rentalstoreusa in 06

Our fee isn't $100.00 dollars.......we gave a discount for Somerset because it is a very hard area to work.

We Do get Listings from newspapers and even from signs .we call and ask the landlord permission.we advertise it for free we do all the credit checks and background checks for free.

But we also run ads for them to use us as we did for people looking.

and we have many, many that have used us for years.

Yes Dolores made a mistake on 1 Address.she corrected her mistake.

and had another appointment for you...

And our contract does state no refunds. standard disclaimer.......but I do NOT do bad business.....I have, do and will continue to issue refunds when the client is dissatisfied.....which is the right thing to do........

But again.....I do not understand why you would try to destroy someone with out even making effort to resolve it.......

the only reason would be ...... a hidden agenda from one place or another.
Or a bad character flaw

And enough of this petty back and forth..........Business is good.......you found an apartment and will get your money back and ill be here for another 20 years making dockets and helping people everyday.............for a very small amount of a fee compared to other company's.

I would have gladly made my own apointments, however all the apartments I called had the wrong numbers listed,disconnected numbers, where no longer available or they just never called back.

I noticed on the 13th that the apartment that I had signed a lease for on the 6th so happend to be on the list. The landlord took the for rent sign off the lawn the next day 1/7/08. I thought you updated your site daily, thats what you told me when I asked.
And no I didnt find the apartment from your site, it was 2 blocks down the road from my boyfriends house and we looked at it in the middle of December. Also the listing for this apartment isnt even accurate. Why would the landlord say the apartment is carpeted when there isnt an inch of carpeting in the place. Why would landlords put the wrong phone numbers when they are trying to rent out an apartment?

Honestly it seems as though all your apartments where found in the newspaper or have a store bought for rent sign on the front lawn. This is a small town and its easy to see that here.

Maybe I should start a business drive around and put all the houses or apartments I see for rent on that website, then put all the apartments I see on craigslist and in newspapers that arent being listed with a realator on that website to. Then charge people $100 to see what is already free to begin with. And heck I'll make them do all the work to. I'm sure there might be a few that are actually put on by the landlord themselves, but common sense is telling me a few are not.

Your website states that you "we do not just sell you a list of names" wich is exactly what I got." The contract I signed states "NO REFUNDS" in capital letters underlined all by itself. This is why I didnt bother. You told me you've been in this business 40 years, you post in your rebutal 20 according to the better business bureu its no more than 2. First you said that I got lost and couldnt find the place then it turns into Delore's fault for being unorganized, Then it goes from not yelling at me on the phone to "trying to talk over your child" I never said I didnt see the apartment in the first report. I said we eventually found it. Your right when you said anyone with brains can read between the lines and thats exactly what this is. I saw red flags flying from all over the place and the more you rebute the more I'm glad I did this. Maybe I'm going to save at least 1 persons money.

You also stated more than once how you are so willing to work with me and allow me to continue using the services. As of yesterday morning I no longer recieve my Email containing my daily "updated" rental apartment report consiting of several already rented apartments and several others listed more than once. I also noticed that I can no longer log into the site that I paid $100 to look at either. I'm sure your going to come up with something really saucy to cover that up to. Maybe even say there must be something wrong with my internet service or something. You might as well just give up on the rebutals cause all your doing is contradicting yourself and your business.

Just to clear things up...... We went to the apartment, looked at the apartment, went to work, discussed, called the landlord and the apartment was already taken by the couple that was leaving as we where getting there. Then I called your office told Delores what has happend and to please call me as soon as she got a hold of the other landlord. This all occured on 1/5/2008. Sorry if you got confused.

Why would the landlady show you a rented Apartment or did you look at 2 Apartments from us.....Which verify's we did our job!

One...The landlords post the ads .........go to the landlord Page and see where it says ADD Listing.........so if a landlord puts the ad on twice instead of refreshing it.....thats out of my control. We get as many as 200 new rentals a day

This is a very reasonable referral Service.......not a Real Estate Agency that Charges a Full Months Commission..the Contract states that if we set appiontments for you ( which is optional ) You Must call Customer service for more appointments if you do not like the Apartment(s). It doesnt say call the sales Office...which is very clear on the contract.. Most clients do it themselfs because they have questions as does the landlord, So its good they speak before they meet so they dont waste time.

We Have had problem clients but always make it right! This is a volume Business

5 Complaints in a year.....Compared to around 10.000 clients .....thats pretty good in my book.

Also we even discounted this clients fee due to the difficulty of the area and low price range. We knew it wasn't going to be easy. But would and still will work hard to help her.

And Again she made not 1 attempt to resove the matter with me..Here I am
As I was when she first had issues. I truly had no clue there was a problem after we spoke ( Spoke...No Yelling ) You Are Slamming me and so many people you never delt with in this company who are hard working smart caring people.

I think the issue is a much deeper problem.. or a set up by another company.

I still do not know if she took one of our rentals or not... first she said she didnt see the aprtment the first report.

Then in the second one she did see it.......Come on

I will no longer waste my time with this.....Like she said it a done deal

who's not telling truth

My mother, my step father, and my boyfriend where standing right there and heard this man yelling at me over the phone.

I have a son myself and I cant imagine what a child could be doing to your leg to make you yell at a customer non stop that you have a problem with the ripoff report they filled on the internet and that you where going to call a lawyer.

I also checked with the better business bureu. This company was registered with them in February 2007, was registered as an actual business in 2006 and has had total of 5 complaints in that time frame against them all of them have been resolved or whatever they do to them.

I NO LONGER WANT TO CONTINUE ANY BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. I FOUND AN APARTMENT ON MY OWN! After the way I was yelled at over the phone and talked to in an extremely unproffesional manner, I do not wish to have any contact at all with this company owner. I do not want to get yelled at on the phone anymore and feel as though what the owner is posting here as rebutals is not goint to be the case on the phone. Then what really happens is going to twisted to suit his means. I'm willing to just bite the $100 and hope someone else doesnt waste there money either. I'm sorry but advertising apartments that are not available for over a week even after I notified them that these apartments where no longer available is fraudulant to a consumer. Listing the same apartment more than once looking as though you have more apartments then you do is fraudulant. I paid $100 to look at apartment ads that I saw in the newspaper with all the information in them for .50 cents a day. Had those apartments not been listed on the website I would have never bothered with this company to begin with.

For the record i was not yelling.......If she thinks about it .My baby was crying holding onto my leg to pick him up..I was at home at the time of the call. i was talking load over him.

I totally agree with her that Dolores bungled the whole thing.once it starts bad it usally stays that way....

All in All we have have a good service.Dolores has been with me for many years and use to be very sharp.but her age is catching up with her.Ive tried to be as loyal to her a she has been to me.but this is an fine example of when its time to give it up...thats life....

Yes he did just call me but he didnt state that he was yelling at me telling me he was going to call a lawyer. My boyfriend answered the phone and he was nice to him. As soon as I picked up the phone he immediatley started screaming. While I was telling him the landlord they sent me to had never heard of them he didnt comment on that only yelled about what I "posted on the internet, that he's been in business for 40 years" (in his rebutal he says 20, wich is it?) and something about having different offices or something. Not once did he stop yelling to let me speak.

When we got to that apartment we went to look at I told the landlord I was sorry we where late Rentalstoreusa gave us the wrong address and phone number she looked at me confused and said "where?" that landlord told me she had only put a listing in the local newspaper, she didnt know what I was talking about. The address they gave me was 223 South 9th. There is no 200 block on south 9th the actual address was 23 south 9th and the phone number they gave me was wrong, I learned this when I saw the actual phone number on the for rent sign on the front lawn. We drove up and down that street. Lucky for us there was only 3 apartments for rent and we narrowed it down. We didnt get lost or where not able to find the apartment the address they gave me didnt exist. I then found out a few days later that the phone number they gave me was for another apartment.

That same afternoon (a few hours after we looked at the apartment 1/5/08) I talked to a woman that works for him named Delores, she said they had another apartment but she was trying to contact the landlord. My exact words where "Yes, Thank you. Please call me as soon as you get a hold of them." I never got a call back, until the business owner saw this report (1/15/08).

My report is in no way shape or form false in any way. I'm not an idiot and I know you can get sued for false statements. I have the website print outs and the email I sent them for my first complaint. I'm sure if someone calls the wrong number they gave me the owner of the phone will tell you there must have been 4 messages that I had left trying to get the correct address. I have lived in this town my entire life I know where south 9th avenue is. I also know that its only 2 blocks long and its almost impossible to not be able to find an address on it. I also called rentalstoreusa and left them several messages that the address they gave me was wrong. The woman named Delores finally called me back after we found the correct address. But according to him this didnt happen. Delores's exact words when she gave me the address was
two-two-three, she didnt even say two twenty three she said two two three.

So what I figure is I had a bad experience with this company, got a phone call getting yelled at and threatend, then the rebutal that was left was made up to make the company not look bad.

And yes I told him to go ahead and contact a lawyer called him a moron then hung up on him.

Hello, My name is Jason and I have dealt with rentalstoreusa a couple of time and one time it was not easy ( my price range is low). But Mr. Ray Sr and Jr are 2 of the nicest people you would ever meet. I really felt like they cared and worked hard for me. So i Used them again and they didnt even charge me another fee.

The above complaint is in my opion cannot be true in anyway shape or form.

call them and speak with Jeff or Cody and you will see what i mean.

Take this with a grain of salt!

Some People just cant help themselfs because of bad upbringing or just a lower class of human being.

Im the owner of rentalstoreusa.com

First off I Have been in this Business going on 20 years now, Mostly it works very well. some times it doesnt.

Second, we are an Accredted member of the NJ Better Business Bureau and take pride in this fact and the reason why we are accredited, Is Because we care about our clients and familys and will do whatever it takes to help them.

If by chance the service does not work for them, we will gladly refund the fee!
NO PROBLEM

This Client did not contact me in any way for a refund or to lodge a complaint after we spoke..

We did set an Appointment and the address was correct. she just could not find it.

I personally spoke with the Landlady and it was fine as far as i was concerned. until i found this.which is total off the mark and full of false information.

I just got off the Phone with the client to try to resolve the matter and she called me a moron and hung up. I tried.

I will still Issue a Refund and let them continue to use the service.which is what I do with all clients who are have problems.

Im Easy to deal with.she just didnt even try.

All I'm trying to do is make a decent living for my Family.

For ever 1 person who has a problem. I place 500 easy.

And no hard feelings
