On or around January 23, 2014, Abelard Restoration, LLC. (AR), owned by Brian Southard, through it’s operations manager, Dan DiPrima, contracted Pro Restoration Solutions, LLC (PRS) to perform a water damage restoration for one of National Property Management’s (NPM) properties managed in Glastonbury, CT.  PRS was to be compensating 80% of the total amount billed by and paid to AR, minus NPM’s fees.  PRS completed the job on January 25, 2014.

After a few months, emails, and calls to Dan DiPrima, PRS still had not been advised of the total amount billed to MPM, nor had PRS been paid for the completed job.  On March 25, 2014, PRS received an email from Dan DiPrima asking that we sign and notarize a waiver allowing AR to pay PRS $4,935.55, which was signed, notarized, and returned the same day.  Another month passed before receiving any return communication from Dan DiPrima.

On April 28, 2014, Dan DiPrima emailed me to advise PRS that he was no longer with AR, but was instead with a new company, Restor Property Restoration (RPR), which I later learned was started by Brian Southard.  He provided me with contact information for Brian Southard, owner of AR, as well as it’s Chief Financial Officer, Becky Hintz.  On April 28, 2014, I spoke to Becky Hintz and she asked me to email her the request made to Dan DiPrima for $4,935.55, to Becky@restorteam.com, which I later learned was an RPR email address, despite Dan DiPrima claiming to no longer be working with Brian Southard or Becky Hintz at AR.

Nevertheless, I emailed the request for $4,935.55 to Becky Hintz and in return received an unsigned letter from AR on May 12, 2014, advising me that the company was closed entity and that Dan DiPrima was not authorized to sign referral agreements.  Upon questioning Dan DiPrima, he provided PRS with the name and email address of Brian Southard’s alleged business partner, Anthony Delmedico, with AR.  On June 6, 2014, PRS emailed Anthony Delmedico to advise him of the situation, to which we received no response until June 16, 2014 after contacting NPM and being advised that Brian Southard was paid $8,200, through RPR, for the job completed by PRS, and this information was relayed to Anthony Delmedico.  On June 23, PRS spoke to Anthony Delmedico, who confirmed that Brian Southard was indeed his former partner and managed the restoration division of AR, but was no longer with the company, having stolen equipment, vehicles, and money from the company before leaving and starting up RPR.

As of today, despite numerous unreturned calls and emails to Brian Southard, Becky Hintz, and Dan DiPrima, PRS has still not been paid for the job in question, nor on 4 other jobs that were referred to AR, for which PRS was to received 20% of the approximately $38,000 billed by and paid to AR.  In total, AR aka RPR owes PRS approximately $12,500.

#2 UPDATE Employee ..inside information

This is 100 percent FALSE!

AUTHOR: K. Saarela - (USA)

POSTED: Friday, April 07, 2017

I am a current employee with Restor Property Restoration.   This claim is 100 percent FALSE!  Dan DiPrima was a former employee of Abelard Restoration in 2014. If  Mr. DiPrima did not receive his commissions , it was the responsibilty of the former CFO, Ms. Becky Hintz.  Ms. Becky Hintz was put on administrative leave in July of 2015 for theft/embezzzlement charges.

The Carmel Police Department lead an investigation and Ms. Hintz is currently out on bond until her court appearance in April.  Case # 29D04-1603-F6-002396 & 29D04-1603-FD-002302.

Mr. Delmedico( Abelard co-owner) is not correctly descricbes as above.  Mr. Delmedico started a side business at 204 Sibley St. Ste 216 Hastings, MN 55033.  Abelard Restoration was formed in 2015 without Mr. Southard's knowlegde.

It's sad there are so many "unethical" people in this busines.  Mr. Southard is HONEST and A GOOD MAN!

Dan Diprima not responsible

AUTHOR: - ()

POSTED: Saturday, September 19, 2015

It has come to the attention of Pro Restoration Solutions LLC that Dan Diprima was simply an employee of Abelard Restoration LLC and was not responsible for payment to sub-contractors or payment for reffered jobs. Brian Southard (owner) and Becky Hintz are the culprits and responsible for all business decisions for Abelard Restoration LLC. They are now running RESTOR Properties as Abelard is now out of business.
