Retail Business services uses a clear modus operandi of cold-calling a business, acting as if an order has been placed with them and they are simply verifying your shipping address, and then sending you incorrect product which they refuse to make correct.

Like other victims of RBS, our receptionist was misled by their salesperson into thinking that an order had already been placed with them for credit card paper rolls and they wanted to verify that they had the correct credit card terminal model and shipping address . The receptionist verified both things believing that an authorized person within our company had made the order.

We received 24 paper rolls that did not fit our machine even though they had put the correct model number on the invoice for $105.00. We contacted their customer service number and had to leave a message explaining the situation. the next day RBS called back saying they would send a new shipment of the correct paper, so we paid the invoice of $105.

A couple of weeks later another 24 rolls of the same incorrect paper arrived with an invoice for $195. We contacted them again asking for a call tag to return the product, which they did not do. They never returned our calls to take care of the problem. This all happened over a period of weeks between August 2010 and October 2010.  I made a final call and left another message on October 13 asking for a response to our grievance, to no avail.

Just before Christmas 2010, I received a call from a woman representing herself as the RBS collections agent. She demanded immediate payment. I began to try and explain the long chain of events but she was not interested. She said she would not argue the validity of my complaints and that I simply needed to pay for the second shipment of incorrect product. I refused at which point she became very aggressive, rude, and would not let me finish a sentence. I asked to speak to her supervisor but she refuse saying I had no option  but to talk to her. I told her because of her rude demeanor and poor service, I would not continue talking to her and would wait to hear from someone in management.

The next day, she called again with the same aggressive and threatening tone at which point I again informed I her was not going to take her abuse and that I would only talk with someone in a higher position than her. As she was yelling, I hung up the phone.

When I had our company's owner call RBS to take over the situation, she was treated with the same rude, aggressive, and threatening treatment I experienced. I have since filed complaints with both the Cleveland Better Business Bureau and the Ohio State Attorney General's office. I was amazed at how many complaints have already been filed with both agencies.
