ReverbNation Reverb Nation - Rude, unprofessional, dishonest Durham North Carolina

ReverbNation, or as I call it RipoffNation, is extremely rude, unprofessional and dishonest, and I have multiple phone conversation recordings and emails to prove it.

Here's what happened:

        I wrote a comical parody of a song. US Courts have upheld that you do not need consent of the original author to write, record and perform a comical parody. Despite the overwhelming evidence that I have shown Reverbnation to support this, they falsely accused me of copyright infringement - in writing. So if you're a libel attorney I have MORE THAN a preponderance of evidence to prove that Reverbnation has committed slander and libel against me.

        Andrew seems to be running the show over there. He is very rude and hangs up on me. I have recorded several conversations between Andrew and I and each time he has been anything but professional. He is not knowledgable, he is too lazy to properly evaluate the situation and he is too dishonest to admit that he was wrong.  Simply put, Andrew's a lowlife. If anyone knows his full name please let me know because I will add it to this report. He refuses to provide his full name over the phone and he refuses to let me speak to a supervisor. I have left messages for several "supervisors" and they never bother to return my calls. Reverbnation is a HORRIBLE company to do business with.

       I wasted money with ReverbNation and I want to urge everyone who reads this to never give them any money. They don't value their customers and they accuse their customers of copyright infringement even if there is no supporting documentation to show that copyright infringement has taken place. There are other, better services available than ReverbNation, such as Bandcamp. They actually respect their customers and don't hang up on you when you call. I have emailed the CEO directly, and he never bothered to respond.

ReverbNation has shown that they have no intention of doing the right thing. They have lied, they have attacked me in writing, and they have refused acknowlede the case law that refers to comical parodies.

Here is some of that case law:

Copyright law Section 107 provides that "the fair use of a copyrighted work . . . for purposes such as criticism [or] comment . . . is not an infringement . . . ,''. But it requires a case-by-case analysis rather than "bright-line rules".

I even agreed to remove the parody from my ReverbNation page, even though I had a legal right to have it up. Still, Andrew, being the piece of garbage that he is, deleted my ReverbNation page altogether and refused to cooperate with the BBB. I am currently seeking the advice of a libel/defamation attorney to sue ReverbNation on the grounds that they stated to the BBB in writing that I have committed copyright infringement. Andrew used some B.S. excuse that the time to evaluate the matter has expired because I didn't call them sooner. I was dealing with ongoing medical and personal issues which had to take priority. I explained this to Andrew but he refused to work with me. I want everyone to know that ReverbNation will gladly take your money but their customers services is horrendous.
