Long story short, I bought a 2008 Hyundai Sonata, when I wanted a small SUV. The salesperson that I was working with pressured me into staying at the "imports" division after not being able to find the vehicle I wanted for the price I wanted to pay. They then talked me into a Sonata, then after I looked at the car, did not drive, another person had taken it for a test drive while they were "working on numbers" I didn't even realize that they were writing up contracts. The particular salesperson told his manager that I "could test drive the car after the paperwork was signed"

I sign the paperwork, foolishly, and they had been prepping the car, I drove home, decided that I did not like the feel of the car, and my wife did not like it either, neither one of us liked the trade off of features. I then called the dealership and spoke to Ted Franklin, who is the Sales Manager, I said that I did not like the car, and wanted to work on something else or get my car back. He then stated that there is no return policy, at this point I was stuck with this car, the very next day before any of the paperwork had been filed, I looked online and contacted them through their website about another vehicle that would have put me in the range I needed to be in.

I recieved an automated response with the 6 month 6000 mile 100% return/exchange policy. When I inquired about this they told me that it was only aplicable to used vehicles. Nowhere on this email does it say anything like that, it doesn't even say see dealer for details.

Needless to say I will never shop at Ricart again and I will be warning anyone else that I can come in contact with about them and steer them in another direction.

I have also filed a complaint with the Attorney General, about High Pressure Sales and Misrepresentation, for the "exchange" policy

Nice rebuttal, It's nice to hear from you guys. I did remember that the "product specialist" said that I could test drive the vehicle once all of the paperwork was signed. They also tried to get me into a brand new 2007 with more features for what should have been less money, but did not give me all of the rebates and said that they could not finance it as a new car because it was a 2007 in 2008. I have a blank check from Capital One that offers the same rate for a 2007 and newer!

Even a general manager from another dealer said that they should have worked with me, considering what the salesperson had said. Overall, I have bought many cars over the years, and this has been the worst of them all.

Your the type that walks on the lot and right away thinks everyone is trying to rip you off and screw you big time. Did you ever think they may be telling the truth on some of these issues? That return policy most likely only applies to used cars because what the hell are you going to do when someone wants to return a brand new car with a lot of miles on it? At least with a used car a couple hundred miles doesn't make much of a difference. Not everyone is out to screw you
