Richmond Abstract ripoff Staten Island New York

I had purchased a house and Richmond Abstract was the title company at the closing and in charge of recording the deed and filling it with Nassau county clerk office, as of today 1/27/2005 exactly one year after I purchased these house the deed is not recorded and they claim the file is missing and no one to pay for the recording fee and transfer taxes.

This company was paid for a simple service of recording and filling the Deed, the money is gone and no one to answer the question, they claim that they cannot do anything and it has been a year sine then.

I have been patiently waiting and waiting but nothing, not even a phone call to get my questions answered, All I wanted was to have my first dream house to be recorded and get my recorded deed in hand, I can not even apply for a tax relief program with the county since they do not recognize me as of the owner of this house. This title company took all the fees and charges at the closing from me and did nothing except playing around and ignoring my consistent phone calls for over a year.

I please ask to help me get out of this situation, I don't want my money back but I am just asking to get my deed recorded so I could go on with my life, I had spoken to many other people and also went to Nassau county clerk office for help and they all said this is unusual and something is decently wrong and should not be this way at all.
