Rick Hendrick BMW - Hendrick Autoguard is worthless. W Ashley South Carolina

I purchased the Hendrick Autoguard a few years ago for my BMW Z4. At the time I was told it covers just about everything and is basically a direct extension of the BMW factory warranty.

What a lie! I have had 2 major repairs in the past 2 months that are not covered (yeah, the Z4 is a lemon, but that's another story). The secondary air pump, a $600+ part, NOT COVERED. This is a major piece of the emissions system in the vehicle. The passenger occupancy sensor, a $1800 part, NOT COVERED. This is necessary for the proper operation of the air bags.

The Hendrick Autoguard people told me that these are "normal wearable parts and such parts are not covered". So let me get this straight, integral engine components and air bag safety components are expected to wear out just like brakes and tires?

What a friggin' joke.


NEVER EVER purchase the Rick Hendrick Autoguard. Regardless of the crap they'll tell you about it being the best rated extended warranty, it is all lies. I won't even get into the poor service and dozens of other issues I've had with Rick Hendrick BMW of Charleston over the past 5 years.

I'll NEVER purchase anything with the Hendrick name on it ever again. They are the most untrustworthy and unprofessional organization I've ever dealt with in my life. Even worse is the fact the BMW North America pawns off every request back to the local dealer, so unless I want to travel down to Bremen in Miami I'm completely boned on my $50k Z4.
