Because of a contractual agreement (explained further below) a friend of mine entered into with TooSpoiled, I am posting this on her behalf. I'm doing so because my ?friend? doesn't what the same thing to happen to the readers of this site that happened to her.
My friend starts out by saying: I always try to see the good in any person or situation so please allow me to begin by telling the readers? These folks are REALLY, REALLY good!!! And before I SLAM them for being the SCAM ARTIST they are (and they are very HIGH QUALITY scam artist I might add), I would like to say, if you don't mind a couple people making a KILLING off of your efforts, these TooSpoiled jobs is really entertaining regardless of the fact that TooSpoiled deceives people into doing exactly what TooSpoiled wants them to do and not properly compensating them for it. So how do they do it? Allow me to explain.

Let me guess, you are checking this website because you received an email from someone named Bethany Reagan (or maybe they are using other names now) under the email address Careers@TooSpoiled.com. The message said:
?If you are looking for a real opportunity and a real long-term career with an exciting cutting edge company, you may be the person we are looking for.?
Later on in the message they further state,
?We offer our (whatever position you are applying for) the following:
? Highly competitive salary
? Bonus and Incentive Program that can add 30 - 50% or more to Base Salary
? Medical, Dental, and Vision plan
? Paid Vacation
? Tuition Reimbursement
? Rapid Fast Track Advancement Program
This is ALL TRUE (well, to a certain extent)!!! You may have already clicked on the link in the body of the message and found yourself staring at a Job Application.

So, what did you do? Did you click on any of the other links and read anything about being a Scout? If you did, I must congratulate you. Most people do not read anything. Most people just go ahead and start the laborious application process, which in most circumstances is totally understandable. Looking back on it, even though I did click around and read a few things, I did NOT do enough due diligence before further pursuing this ?career with an exciting cutting edge company.?

But to be perfectly frank, this is exactly what these people are counting on. Obviously they are recruiting people from job boards or just sending out SPAM emails and people are responding in droves!! Weather you are actively looking for a job or not, they really make this offer seem very enticing not to mention totally real!!

Okay, let's talk now about that salary enticement. Much LATER in the ?Employment? process you are required to read and sign (actually electronically acknowledge) the Scout Manager (or whatever position) Terms and Conditions and it's then that you find out the fact that salary is not available just yet! You're going to love this.

Scout Manager Terms and Conditions
(YOUR NAME HAS BEEN INSERTED HERE), hereinafter referred to as (YOUR FIRST NAME HAS BEEN INSERTED HERE), is being offered a position as a (YOUR POSITION IS INSERTED HERE) with TooSpoiled. The offer is being made under the following terms and conditions.
(YOUR NAME HAS BEEN INSERTED HERE) is AN INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR working from a home office. (YOUR NAME HAS BEEN INSERTED HERE)'s responsibility is to manage individuals retained by the company ?

ETC, ETC, ETC? then later it goes on to say,

(YOUR NAME HERE) shall be compensated as detailed in the Scout Manager compensation section posted on this website (see below).

(YOUR NAME HERE) agrees to abide by the following terms and conditions:

I agree not to misrepresent?
I agree as a Scout Manager I will do?

ETC, ETC, ETC? of course there is still more.
Oh, yeah, here's a good one:

And another one?

I agree to be truthful in all business dealings?

And then the one mentioned at the start of this?

I agree not to make any statements to the press, in any blog, or on any Internet or public forum about TooSpoiled except as specifically authorized by TooSpoiled in writing. I understand that should I do so it will be grounds for immediate termination and that TooSpoiled has the right to seek damages up to $1,000,000. I further understand that this term will stay in force for one year after my voluntary or involuntary termination.

Now for the best one of all. The way I understand it the head of TooSpoiled has a criminal record.

I understand that should I be convicted of any crime (felony) during my tenure at TooSpoiled it would constitute grounds for termination. I further understand that conviction of a crime of violence (misdemeanor or felony) will result in an automatic dismissal.
Okay, now for the compensation plan?
Scout Managers earn $.10 for every booking purchased by a Talent and referred by a Scout on the Manager's team. TooSpoiled expects the average Talent to purchase an average of three bookings per month. The following is a commission chart for a Scout Manager's earnings based on the number of people Scouted by his/her team:

1st year 2nd year 3rd year
Average Scout Scouts 10 potential Talent per day $53,820.00 $153,180.00 $252,540.00
Average Scout Scouts 15 potential Talent per day $80,730.00 $229,770.00 $378,810.00
Average Scout Scouts 20 potential Talent per day $107,640.00 $306,360.00 $505,080.00
Average Scout Scouts 25 potential Talent per day $134,550.00 $382,950.00 $631,350.00
Average Scout Scouts 30 potential Talent per day $161,460.00 $459,540.00 $757,620.00
Average Scout Scouts 35 potential Talent per day $188,370.00 $536,130.00 $883,890.00
Average Scout Scouts 40 potential Talent per day $215,280.00 $612,720.00 $1,010,160.00

Basis - the above numbers are based on the following assumptions:

Base salary - each 90 days a Scout Manager's performance for the previous quarter is evaluated. Scout Managers whose average Scout meets the following requirements (average of five registrations per day and 10 bookings purchased per registered Talent) will be offered the accompanying base. Should the Scout Manager accept the base, commissions would be reduced by 50 percent.

1st year $104,000 ($2000/week)
2nd year $130,000 ($2,500/wk)
3rd year $158,000 ($3,000/wk)

Well, I've been in commission sales all my life and during my career from being the upstart new sales person all the way through being the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for a well-known national company I have made and seen other people make this kind of money. But THAT was with reputable companies who either CAN NOT or DO NOT figure out a way to sandbag or pad the production numbers to keep from paying the compensation due the sales staff. Okay, there I've said it. Yes, they sandbag the production numbers. So will you ever be able to make any of the commissions I mentioned above. Uuuummm, NO!!!!

So how do you make any money? There are two words that answer that question? YOU DON'T!!! On the other hand, THEY are making money hand over fist!!! How they make money? Well let's start with that Job Application we talked about earlier. Just before you clicked on ?Submit: it had a place to click on two possible answers. Do you remember? They were:

I would like to receive information about higher education opportunities.
or
I do not feel I would benefit from educational opportunities at this time.?

If you click on ?I would like to receive?? they are going to make money by sending this info to one of those ?online? colleges or universities. If you click on the second answer in a job application process you look like a schmuck!!

Next, every profile that is built by the individuals using their site has a minimum of four advertising links. They tell the ?employees? and talent that when anyone clicks on and buys products from these advertisements on their site they will receive compensation for it. I don't know of anyone who has yet to receive a compensation check for any of these advertisements. Gee, I wonder where the money is going.

And then there are the bookings. If people are buying bookings and the scouts and casting managers aren't getting paid for them, who do you think is getting that money?

Here's another thing. Outside of the totally ?controlled? conference calls the frequently have, there is no way to reach these folks by telephone. Look around on the corporate website and let me know where to find the telephone number in the ?Contact Us? link. Have you ever heard of a legitimate company not interested in talking to people on the telephone? Oh yeah, one more funny thing? on the ?Contact Us? page they actually have a picture of a very pretty young lady wearing a telephone headset!!

Well, I think by now you have the picture. I really feel like a fool about this but as I said earlier, I did have a lot of fun with it and met some very nice people. That's a riot, no telephone number but a picture of a lady wearing a telephone headset!! Yea gotta love it!!

Boy does ?my friend's? feel good getting this off chest!!
