Nancy--I'm so sorry to hear what you're going through! I was a victim of this company and was able to get them to stop calling. First of all, send a certified cease and desist letter to their 303 N. Main address (NOT the post office box). In that letter, tell them to stop calling you as the statue of limitations is up. Include a copy of the letter you sent to the AG's office for the State of Texas.

The BBB isn't going to help much, I'm afraid, as they're actually paid by the very companies they purport to be "watching." They're not, although they did drop CAMCO.

Also, find out if you can legally tape their conversations. Even if not, do it - you might be able to use it in a lawsuit. Some states will allow you to use that. Also, I'd advise finding one of the many attorneys who are suing CAMCO. You can also sue them in small claims court for $1,000. See the message that was posted today on ripoffreport. Although I'm not a fan of suing, this is one company that deserves it, and since they're calling your *neighbors,* it's time to do something very proactive. Also, be sure to keep *all* correspondence they send you.

From what I've been reading here, they're getting much more aggressive than they used to be, back in the good old days when they only used to call several times a day and scream at me.
