We purchase an item from rmg jewelers online through google checkout 2 weeks later we had not received the item several times we tried calling the phone number on the website 770-388-9213, we left meassges and they never returned our call

we then decided to go in person the address on the website is 311 independence way woodstock ga 30188 to our surprise it was not a business it was a residence/house when we were standing in front of the house a car pulled up behind us we moved to let the car by it was a man and he rushed in to the house  so we got off to knock on the door before we went up the stairs to the porch

the same man came out and ask what we wanted so we asked if this was rmg jewelers  he said it was and proceeded to tell us who we were so he obviously had received our messages and decided to ignore us by phone  and he proceeded to tell us that we needed to cancel our credit card because google  had some type of breech on security someone had gotten all credit cards information he then said that google will be refunding our money no later then tuesday, february, 16, 2010

on february 20,2010 we called rmg jewelers again no returned call so we e-mailed rmg jewelers on february 20 2010 they e-mailed us back and rmg jewelers reponse was as follows:

"We were told in an email that all open orders would be automatically refunded. I checked with Google via email yesterday and since we no longer have access to that account where we could issue refunds their only suggestion was to have you file a chargeback."

when i went to google checkout you can only file a claim for mediation so we did

we are still waiting to hear from google checkout

all we wanted was a refund since rmg jewelers did not send our item we paid $105.35

$105.35 is alot to pay for nothing

Mr Golden I think you are an honest guy, please do the right thing and respond to my e-mails and phone calls regarding the tung oil I purchased.

Our Google Checkout account was closed by Google and about one dozen orders were still open. When this happens we no longer had access either to the order detail or contact information.

The email we received from Google was that any orders not shipped would be refunded. This was a form email that Google is famous for but we expected them to do what the email stated and this what we relayed to this and other customers.

Last week we followed up with Google and after 2 days we received an email stating that no refunds were issued.

This action by Google has in effect severely affected our home based business and we apologize for the problems this has caused. Without access to the original order we cannot initiate a refund manually.

As for "rushing into the house", since we conduct our business from here we try to check on any urgent matters before completing the errands we had to go back out to do. We've never had this happen in the 12 years we've ran a business from our home so we had no idea they were here to see us.

As we've been advised, and have advised this customer, the quickest way to resolve this is to file a chargeback with their bank/card company, and again we're sorry for the problem but it was not our fault and we have no way to resolve it.
