Robert F. French Incorrect Legal advice, arrogant attitude Truckee, California

When you pay a lawyer $300 per hour, you expect them to know the law, right??? 

We came to Robert French with a case against Coldwell Banker.  We told French that another lawyer said the "date of fraud" was when we bought the property for $1,575,000 therefore the value of our loss would correspond to that date and would not be worth the legal battle.  French disagreed and said the date of fraud was when the property was improved or a value of $6,500,000--big difference. 

French filed a complaint for $1,200,000 against CB.  We went through the usual legal twists and turns, paying French over $51,000.00.  A real estate appraisal expert we hired told French that the date of fraud was when the property was purchased...not French's theory of when the property was improved.

After 14 months of depositions, expert testimony, etc., it became very obvious that French was wrong, but he still wanted to be paid in full.  Why should consumers pay for lawyers to go to school on their nickel.

We settled for $100,000 that went straight, as French knew, to our construciton lender.  French managed our case incorrectly, had a very fundamental rule of law completely incorrect and bled us for fees--and he is still trying to collect $13,000!

Avoid this lawyer at all costs, he will milk you for fees and think nothing of it.
