Robert Michael Granite Bob Granite Conman and Career Criminal Scammer Long Beach California

  In a similar situation to the report I read on this website, I had some transactions with Robert granite, also known as Bob when he lived in the city of Long Beach. I was involved in the antique and collectible's business at the time. I purchased a couple of display cases from Granite when he had a shop in Long Beach in the downtown area that sold ceramics and other items. Once Mr. granite became familiar with me I made a couple of business transactions with him, and the last one we made, he scammed me for thousands of dollars. I came to find out through business contacts that the same person, Mr. granite, had pulled similar scams on many business owners in the city of Long Beach. When I approached Mr. granite to request that he return my money, I was told that it would take some time, which I knew meant he had no intention of repaying me. Shortly after this, he closed his shop in downtown Long Beach, and opened a gift shop on the Queen Mary. I decided like a lot of others who had before me, to pursue a lawsuit with Mr. granite. The employees who worked in the small claims court, and the law-enforcement personnel who would serve the summons in Long Beach were quite familiar with Mr. granite and his activities. Mr. granite did not appear in court for my small claims lawsuit against him, and the judge granted my claim against him. Winning a lawsuit and actually collecting the funds are two different things. I had Mr. granite subpoenaed to appear in court and reveal his assets in front of a judge. When Mr. granite actually arrived, believe it or not the judge told us to go out in the hallway and settle it between ourselves. This is the type of activity that our government is generally known for and is just one of the reasos why I have a very negative view of our government. I was unaware of how to collect my judgment against Mr. granite for sometime. I eventually ran into Mr. granite at a UPS shipping center, where he was shipping a large quantity of merchandise. It was all I could do to maintain my composure in that situation. Mr. granite did not have any cash in his possession, unfortunately, Sometime later, a business associate of mine suggested that I contact a debt collection or private investigator in regards to collecting my claim against Mr. granite. I found a gentleman who performed these types of activities and requested his services. I was contacted by this investigator within approximately two weeks following my request for service. At that time I was informed by the private investigator that Mr. granite was in prison serving time for mail fraud. I was also informed of the number of small claims cases for thousands and thousands of dollars that Mr. granite had lost and never repaid. The investigator informed me that Mr. granite is a career criminal, and that any further action would be fruitless. Do not ever become involved in any business transactions with Robert or Bob granite .
