Robert Pickle is a piece of work. He shows you a house and makes you feel as if it is sound and that he will be there for you should anything go wrong with the house. For the first couple of months while renting with him he may seem like an ok guy but after about 4 months or the house you are renting is starting to have problems or you starting asking when he is going to fix something he said he would then he changes into a completely different person. He has several houses under the name Robert Pickle and several under the name Robert Crye and he does not maintain them at all. He goes the cheap route on everything. Dont ever buy a house or do a rent to own with him because he will charge you an arm and a leg. If you are considering renting or buying from him do your research. Look up the tax value through the tax assessors website, contact a real estate agent to look into the value of the house, and for all things holy contact an inspector to come out to look at the house before you sign anything if you are looking to buy one of his houses.


He has had several condemned and others are in the balance that if they were looked at they might be as well. He does not pay the taxes on the houses, so even if you are looking at renting make sure you check on the taxes on the house so he does not get foreclosed on because of the taxes. I know from personal experience and have talked to several of his former tennants that he is a "crook and a slumlord" as they have called him. Please take care and do your research when dealing with this man.

These people living in this house still today, 8/31/10, that they refer to as the "Robert Crye house" was checking to buy.  Robert Crye is the person that I bought the house from.  All the work that was done to it was inspected by the city of Knoxville and was in compliance with city regulations.

First off let me say that I am ROBERT PICKLE.  I do not and have never owned houses under the name of Robert Crye. Secondly if I owe taxes on my houses, I own some 30 houses and it ain't all a bowl of cherries. If you think you know all the answers to smoothness in rentals, climb on board. It ain't easy but if I own 30 houses and for 22 years, I have some 660 years or rental history. The majority of my taxes are current! I do owe some on some houses but why you care especially if you wanting to buy. If your house so bad, why you wanting to buy it any way? And if I have taxes in the rears or even if there was a personal lein on one of my houses, it wouldn't affect you as a buyer anyway. These levies would come from my funds and not your concern.

And I believe I've fixed everything that came up on your particular property. True I didn't  get the Maintenance man there the "day 1" that you think you needed him but I can only get an electrician, plumber, H&A man or whome ever when they wanna come, not when I necessarily want them. Not my faught. With some 30 houses, I can't necessarily drop everything I'm doing to come fix a door just because there's air seeping in around the frame. True I've sent the maintenance man 3 times but not to your satisfaction to fix your door but hey, you can't please everybody all the time.

Ripoffs.com is a stupid site and is only one sided view. Sometimes people show their ignorance by posting stupid crap like he owes taxes on my house and I'm scared to buy it. Whaaa! go buy another house. I never said I would owner finance it any way. Truthfully, I could use the cash.
