Taurus Lifetime Warranty:

I purchased two identical Taurus Protector Poly .38 special revolvers in 2016.  Probably August or so.  I have had trouble with both with misfires.  The first one has gradually gotten worse, with 12 misfires out of 150 rounds fired this weeki.   The second one is starting to get the same way, last occasion had 4 out of 130 rounds.  Everyone I have spoken to says it probably is a weak hammer spring. Contacted Taurus customer service and they advise I must pay for the revolver to be sent to them.  Would take 6 weeks for repair.  They will not pay to return them.  Note:  Had a different issue with Charter Arms and they paid both ways and it was an 8 day turn around.  Go CHARTER!!

Anyway, when I contact UPS and FEDEX, they both said they can only ship them next day air and it would cost about $90.00 one way for me to ship them to Taurus and then wait 6 weeks.  The revolvers only cost $239.99 each and do shoot well and accurate, but with the misfires I cannot rely on them to save my life.  What IDIOT would pay that much to send them back and wait that long!!  The USPS will not touch them.  They will not ship them at all.

So, this makes the Taurus Lifetime Warranty absolutely worthless!!  If I had to pay the shipping every time I might send them back, it would not take long until I had exceeded the cost of the pistol when new.  Taurus should be ashamed, but it is OBVIOUS they care nothing about customer service.  Rest assured I will slam Taurus every chance I get.  I do not trust them at all and they have proven my distrust with their unprofessional Lifetime Warranty.  Attention All Gun Buyers:  DO NOT BUY TAURUS.  They will not help you and you will be out money it is their responsibility to pay.  Buy Charter Arms.  They stood buy their product and they fixed it fast at ZERO COST TO ME.
