We paid in full with a cashiers check to Rock the mic DJ some time before our December 29th 2006 wedding. I handed it to him personally.
The night of our wedding, he came up to me and said that he wanted to be paid. With all of the chaos, I forgot I had paid him and I began frantically thinking of how I could write him out a check. I'm sure he was counting on me being frazzled and a bit tipsy. Unfortunately for him, I did not partake of the open bar and quickly came to my senses. I told him that I was sure that I paid him and I would go home and check my records.
We spent our entire wedding night searching for the bank receipt that proved that we paid him. He emailed me apologizing that he had found it and his "partner must have cashed it without him seeing it." The problem with that is that I handed the check to him personally. He knew he received it.
I'm wondering how many other people he has preyed on during these types of events. He tried to rip us off, but luckily we were saved by our receipt. Our wedding night, however, was spent dwelling on him more than each other.

These persons saying they own my company DO NOT work for me!

I am writing this to inform the world and ripoff report whom I have contacted a dozen times telling them that these rebuttals to this event our not employed or have anything to do with my company. RTMP strives to do its best at every event and has a very high success rate. This was a simple clerical mix up on our part. We now offer paypal payments and take credit cards, to insure a problem like this NEVER happens again. I do wish the owner of ripoff report would remove the rebuttals from these persons claiming to be me.
I would also like to insure future Rock the mic bookers, we have taken care of the issue noted from our client as best we could, as I mentioned we now have paypal and offer credit cards, checks can be risky not only for the company but the clients as well and we strive to offer you the best customer service.
Thank You Josh James

I am the owner of RTMP and I have revewed our files linking us to any Heathers in the Hunington area and came up zero. This woman claims that my company has ripped her off in some way yet, I have no record of her. If she does have a check and an email it was not through us. I am willing to send anyone instressed a copy of our contract that clearly states " all payments are due 10 days prior to an event. The simple fact that this woman has nothing better to do than sit at her desk and try to ruin a companies reputation is obserd. Maybe the folks that read this should ask her " where you double charged?" Do you have a record of that? I am willing to bet she does not nor was she double charged in the event she even did use the true RTMP services, but as of this time I have no record of her.

I have the canceled check and the email from Josh saved on my computer where he's telling me after the event that I hadn't paid. He was persistent at the wedding that he needed a check at the end of the wedding reception. Not only do I have witnesses but I have the email to prove it and the canceled cashiers check to prove that I paid. If anyone would like a copy, I would be happy to show this to them.

We do not except checks handed to us " clearly lieing"

In regards to the message written by Heather whom I believe has mistakin our company for another.
Our company Rock The Mic Productionz has been in business since 1999. In this time we have played at thousands of events all over PA and with no complaints.
In regards to you just handing one of our Disc jockeys a check this is impossible due to one main fact. It states in our contract and has since 1999 that all checks and money orders must be recieved by mail within 10 days prior to the event. This is for both our safety and you as the consumer that this is done. This means that we will not send our staff until the check clears our bank and is in our account, not our disc jockeys!
To further note if you did infact hand one of our DJ's a check, there would have been no indication of this on his paper work so I do not blame him for asking about it, and how exactly did he try to rip you off if he found where you had paid and that was the end of it.
But on a higher note we at RTMP apologize for any heartache or issues this may have caused you and wish you the best!
