I feel sorry for the people that gave money to Rock Tops. I own a granite company in Western Michgan and are receiving calls from quite a number of people across the state. We are trying to help as many people as possible. This company gives the stone industry a very bad name. If you have used a credit card to purchase your counters please call the card company to dispute the charges as soon as possible. Because of the bankruptcy filing that will be happening, anyone that used cash or a check will have to file in court as a creditor to try a recoup some of their money. It may only be pennies on the dollar. The company owes the material suppliers, tooling vendors and employees a lot of money. If you are able and still want granite countertops, please visit a local granite fabricator. There are many good local companies that have never advertised but have been in business longer then Rock Tops.

Just my opinion regarding the rebuttal to this post

This is to the person who wrote the rebuttal to this report. It amazes me
how people can be so ignorant about situations, then show their ignorance by posting rebuttals with misinformation they've gathered from ignorant sources. I found nowhere in these posts that the workers at Rock Tops made $1900 a week. There were some employees working 80 hours a week and I'm sure made decent wages for busting their butts but from what I read, many of them never even got paid. Matter of fact, I read they took a 15% pay cut months ago. You, among others, have no idea whatsoever what is reality. You don't work there, you don't heft granite slabs weighing hundeds of pounds, breathing in granite dust from cutting processes. You have no place to criticize those workers for the failure of the company. That is the fault of the management. Poor decisions from them, and the obvious desire to rip customers and employees off, not to mention suppliers, is the result of this companies demise. You insulted the employees that were scrooged by you rfalse accusations and you owe them an apology. You must also be one of the critics that think the workers are responsible for the troubles in the auto industry. Once again blinders and ignorant people with ignorant opinions influenced by ignorant lawmakers and media. Do yourself a favor, mind the things you truly know the inside story about, and take some classes on improving your writing skills.

Rock Tops Employees were also a problem

Some of these highly paid employees were very selfish and lot of times help destroy even large corporations. From the thread I read some of these guys make 1900/2000 a Week? what were they doing to make so much money?? Now these employees have benefited largely by these businesses and now turn the other side and complaint the business owners.
In this economy it is very difficult to run a business and some of these highly paid employees are just partners in profit.
This is just my two cents worth....
