if your older than 2yrs old, you could read a 2ft x 4ft sign that states unautherized vechiles will be towed at owners expense. now rockford towing is not the only company that have these signs. they are used for customer parking only... and if you have no permit the city of rockford would have your car towed also, and that charge is like 1000$. so why whine about something that is your own fault by not reading this giant signs place in multiple places in different lots.  so i really dont feel sorry for the people that get towed. its just like if you break the law that is set by the government, should you be arrested? yes . would you whine and cry about them arresting you? and how much your bail is. signed s****.>

If you roommate was driving get the money from that person for that individual was at fault.

in this complaint you do not mention where you were towed from. as for the "ransom" it is not $300 unless you leave the vehicle there for some time. towing is $170 and storage is $40 a day. these prices are mandated by the state of IL, sorry write your congressman. the state of IL gets money from every car towed weather it is picked up or notso I would not expect much helpfrom them. ifyou learn anythingfrom this experience it should be not to lend your car out then blame the towing company for your friends mistake. this is a family owned and operated company and we are not heartless. we provide a service for property owners and managers and they did not want your car there!! you did give permission to tow your car by ignoring the large tow zone signs. if you do have a heart attack dail 911, they will give you a ride I promise. and where does bigots come in to play?
