I applied for a loan and... SUPRISE!!! I was approved. I needed a student loan to cover this summer. I was approved for a 7500 loan with... You guessed it... a security deposit of 1200 in insurance. The name of the insurance was Allenbury Insurance, of which I could find no trace anywhere on the internet.
I thought everything was a bit sketchy at first because they would not tell me the name of the "private lender"... I was going to go ahead with it, but then when the told me that I would have to 1. Wire the money... 2. Out of the USA... 3. To an individual and not a company!!! That was when I decided that was enough.
I called the number I was given and left a nasty little message for one Carla (((Rip-off REDACTED))) at phone #1-888-556-4704 EX. 87... She had the nerve to call back. I didn't answer and will not answer for her anymore.
Has anyone else tried to listen to their "Main Menu..." There ISN'T ONE!!! It just says to press 1 to return to main menu... Then it says "Thank you for calling Royal Oak Financial Group, Good Bye." Very Suspicious!!!
I am very sorry to all those who went through with the wire transfer.. I thank God that the woman doing my transfer said that there was a scam going around similar to what I was doing.
