My fiance was having trouble trying to resolve an on going tax issue where his former employers screwed him over. We contacted the IRS several times, been put on hold, transfered to other people, and finally after a few hours on the phone trying to get the source of how and what he owes, they would not be able to find anything to help us but to make payment arrangements. We did this and by doing so, it just seemed to make things worse because even though we paidon time, the problem was not being resolved. They were just taking our money every month. So,one day I saw the advertisment on televison from Roni Deutch and decided to see what they can do for us, because by this time we just felt lost and the IRS had placed a lien on his credit which prevented us from buying our first home which was very important to us because we have a severely handicapped daughter in the home. I called, told them our situation, and they assured me that after we paid their 2800 dollar fee in six months,they would be able to fix his tax issue, WRONG! We paid on time every month and the entire time I never recieved anything telling us the current status of our case. Once they got our last payment in November, they requested info from us that we had no way to give them until his account came back from Christmas vacation. They told us, They will not wait and if that information is not returned, they will remove themselves as our legal council. But, they gave us the option of appealing to get our money back within thirty days of them releasing themselves. Once I submitted the appeal, I requested in writing everything they were suppose to doing to resolve our case and for a refund. They sent the info, but th also included that we were not eligable for our money back because they went far and beyond the money we paid to them, so we were not entitled to a refund. This angered me because throughout the entire six months, we cooperated the entire way and provided everything to the best of our ability, and we still have a looming tax debt ove our head. It seems like once they recieved the fee they were charging us, they came up with a silly reason to drop us by saying we didn't provide enough info, but if we've filled out the same papers over and over, and provided the same info each time, what else did they want from us. I didn't know they were involved in a lawsuit until recently, and if they is anyway we can be a part of, it would be great because at leat we would feel like we were wronged and taken advantage of just for the sake of making money off of people who are really trying to resolve a problem that seems impossible to correct without the proper reprensentation. I would NEVER recommend them to anyone. They will truly rip you off.
