Soon you have thousands of online followers that believe in you blindly. Latinos and gays support you.

You start attending conferences and important meetings and maintain a successful appearance based on the number of people that follow you on twitter.

You go back to bankruptcy court and get most of your debts discharged so people stop following you and knocking on your door all the time asking for their money back.

You start fresh ignoring the people that you have screwed out of their money.

You become a diva in your own world of deception.

A TV show in a spanish channel follows. Your own youtube channel with more reckless supporters. Facebook pages. More twitter. The works.

Expensive trips from city to city. Affluent and luxurious dinners. Your name shows up everywhere and more and more people sign up for your world of lies.

And you keep ignoring the people that you have screwed out of their hard-earned money. You pay no attention to the real loser you are and you start believing your own lies.

You get nominated for and win famous awards. You take the chance of winning out of thousands of people that truly deserve those honors because of their merits.  They just don’t have enough twitter followers.

You win because people worship you in social media. Not because you deserve it.

You are invited everywhere from radio to tv stations. Fox CNN Telemundo Univision. Panels from the school you attended so you can tell students about your successful career. Dinners with politicians and minority leaders.

And your online bs just keeps growing and growing to the point that is now impossible for people to know about your past. All they see is success. Smoke and mirrors.

You become an icon an idol with thousands of followers everywhere that without knowing they actually work for you. Every tweet they forward every post they like plays in your advantage.

You become more famous. Unstoppable.

And you keep ignoring the people you stole from. You don’t even make an effort to settle the debts. You actually threaten and intimidate ex friends from coming forward. You even get someone fired out of her job just so she doesn’t put you in the open.

And you become the social media fueled monster that everyone believes a saint.

And then one day you look in the mirror.

You realize that you are and always be Rosa Alonso. The loser. The failure. The failed entrepreneur. The dishonest thieve that took ½ million dollar out of family and friends. Out of her own mother. Blew it all and got away with it.
