I went to RTS- Regency furniture to furnish a one bedroom. They advised me upon entry that it would take about 3-4 days for delivery. After the next day when I called for delivery time(because delivery was closed after the deal and had to wait til morning for delivery time) they advised that the delivery "could" take 6 weeks. In the store it was 4 days.

They phoned my new employer so many times that I lost that position. He had written an offer of employment letter for my relocation to this area. So that he would not have to verify mundane things of this nature. They called him over and over and over again. I believe that his position was so novel to them that they just wanted to be able to say they spoke with this person on the phone. 3 different people called my employer, several times for the same information. They didn't call one reference, they didn't even call my apartment building to see if the furniture was even being delivered to the address I gave them. But they called my previous employer so many times I am now out of a job, contact and reference.

And on top of all of this I called them because I still wanted the furniture. And Laura advised me that she was going to cancel the order as if it were some punishment because she knew how bad I wanted this furniture. I told her that wouldn't be necessary. After the second time of her threating me for cancellation of my furniture, I was irritated. She was wielding this cancellation as some sort of sword. I took her up on her offer and agreed to her cancelling the order. I'm sure she wasn't expecting that.

After she abruptly hung up on me to "cancel the order" the sales person called back within 5 minutes to advised me that if I cancelled the order I would owe them $200 more of what my refunded deposit is. I wondered at this point if they all received their ged's from the same online program.

I'm filing suit against them today. My son's education will be well provided for I assure you. Not only did they cause me to lose my job that I hadn't even started yet, but they have not refunded one dime of the deposit that was given for services that have not been rendered. Whoever is running this company must need a tax right off because this one they will have to take as a loss.

TRS is apparently in the business of giving educational grants to children vicariously through law suits.
