I am a homeowner and have had work done by Rudek Construction. To my knowledge Juan will hire subcontractors to do everything and he is named as the general contractor. He signs the contract, then expects the subs to schedule, organize, perform the work, and communicate with us during the duration of the job. He lies and sais he is out of town when he is sitting on his a** at home. He screams at people expecting them to be doing his job for him. On top of it he will sign a contract and take a large chunk of the money up front for his "OVERHEAD" which he does not have then chew the subs down as much as possible until there is basically no profit left for them. BEWARE of this scam artist!

Juan, you are a liar and fraud

POSTED: Tuesday, September 11, 2012

I am sure the person that posted this is Juan Rudek, the contractor that is going all over Chicago stealing money from people that are trying to repair their homes.

Instead of helping people create their dream home, he takes their dreams and smashes them, but not of course, until after he steals all of their hard earned money that they saved up for those dreams

He is targeting people on craigslist.  Please beware of this man.

he is out to destroy any and everyone's lives that he runs into, he does not care who and what or where you are.

stay away from Juan Rudek, Rudek Construction, Buenos Construction, and Natural Cooling...

Stay away from this man

#1 REBUTTAL Owner of company

Owner

AUTHOR: Rick - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, April 24, 2009

I am responding to this complaint for which the owner of said project in Evanston, IL. It is unfortunate that my company wishes to do good work but circumstances does come up and owners must be held accountable for their actions, which we (one of my sub-contractor) requested a extra payment of above and beyond the contract, which they verbally agreed on that day--- (because of time restrain and, we could not get accurate pricing due to the fact of unforeseen conditions of soil contamination) the outside vendors could not come up with paper documents until they receive the contaminated soil.

When I presented the documents to the owners, they did not agree to pay for the extra work, and their comment was---"it is in the contract" and we spoke to our lawyer that you must provide us with documents before we accept your extra work.

Oral agreement is as strong as written agreement! Due to unusual circumstances sometimes an oral agreement must come to play, which this was the case.

We do have paper work trail to prove this case, and we were trying desperately to meet with the owners to solve this problem and they refused!

Another case in point prior to this event which was two-- that will describe the owner's intent;

1. The owners called and requested a service call on their furnace, (while we were remodeling) which it was not working during the Heating Season. I sent my HVAC contractor to inspect the work and the thermostat was not working properly due to malfunction of battery life, and the furnace filter (which it was not replaced for long period of time). We requested a payment for the HVAC for the service he performed and the owner's reaction the filter was dirty because of the remodeling you are performing which they refused to pay--- after that statement the HVAC contractor decided not work at this job and consequently decided not to perform additional work and left the job.
2. The second incident the owners have called me (while we were remodeling) we have no hot water, I've called my Plumbing contractor for a service call; due to the busy season the plumbing contractor could not show up on that day or the next day. due to other commitments, the owner were very upset and left hostile messages over the weekend. Several day passed and the plumbing contractor finally showed up and called me and said, gas meter was shut off due to none payment of course the Plumbing contractor billed me for half day (4 hour) including traveling time, which I think is fair and I've requested the owner for payment and their remark was we do not pay for traveling time and you can see where this job was heading, some of my subs and myself came to a conclusion were working with an unreasonable clients at this juncture.

I have more which could be described another day..

End of story
