This company, "Rustic and More" took my payment for an item of furniture and the shipping costs for the item as an electornic debit purchase. Total of $349.02.

I placed the order on 2/21/2004, the auto withdraw from my account occured two days later on 2/23/2004.

It is now seven months later. I have never received the item or a refund. I have 30 e-mails (or more) from the compnay with a variety of excuses reasons why I have been defrauded. I have requested direct phone contact with the company, never recived a call back and their phone system has an automated menu, which they hid behind. I have requested a refund numerous times. I have filed complaints with the FL Better Business Bureau (Miami) and was told there is nothing they can do...! I have filed a complaint with the IFCC. I have filed a complaint with the CT Attorney General Blumenthal.

Within the last two weeks I have been contacted by the Boynton Beach FL Fraud Investigation Unit and by the New Haven, CT Fraud Investigation Unit. I have been providing law officers with paper work and information regarding this theft.

I want my money back.

Dear Customers,

A refund check has already been issued to this case and we are currently waiting for the customer to confirm.

We have been in the rustic furniture business since 2001. Since our beginning until late 2003, we managed to keep an impeccable customer service records (please check with BBB). In late 2003 we experienced a well documented problem with two of our biggest furniture containers coming from Mexico which affected approximately half of the order received from Nov, 2003 to June, 2004 (this because of the domino effect generated by the large volume of cancellations). Our company suffered a big loss which we are still managing to recover from. However, we are still working hard on resolving all pending cases by either issuing a refund or shipping the furniture from alternate US vendors. No customers will be left unresolved.

As of July 1st 2004, the company successfully resumed its operations, delivering all orders received since July 1st. All income is being currently focused towards leveling the company financial situation and resolving all pending cases.
