I would use caution retaining her as your attorney and if you want to read my experience, it follows: Here's where I fell victim to her first technique for signing up cases -- attorney Sabharwal starts agreeing with you about all the facts of your case and feigns outrage -- she claims she knows the Judge so well and knows her background (which I later learned she stated incorrectly), suggests we should make a motion to remove the Judge (which much later she recommends against so doing), and that we should take my ex-wife's deposition (which later she says it would cost over $500 and suggests we need not do it) -- she works really hard to be outraged about your case and leads you to believe she feels as upset as you the whole legal proceeding. I signed her up on December 11, 2015, gave her a $1,400 retainer, and almost immediately she goes absent because she is so busy with her other cases.

My matter is coming up January 8, 2016 and finally, at the last blessed minute, December 28, Ms. Sabhawal finally starts to review the filed papers I gave her, knocks out a Declaration and Responsive Pleading that's nothing new to what I had already said, fax files it with the court the day before the hearing, just to get a record on the file (the court never even read it), but she did bill $640 just for this self serving motion (because she wrote it herself, she has no clerk, secretary or staff to help her), and asks me to find a way to serve the papers on my ex-wife because we're out of time! Comes day of the hearing and Ms. Sabharwal is late for court, text me she was lost finding her way through the tunnel to Alameda. Our matter 4th on the calendar gets kick to the end, and the morning gets stretched out with waiting (which, of course she is charging for). Meanwhile, she tries to negotiate a visitation schedule with my wife for one hour to no avail (my ex says Ms. Sabharwal was overwhelming her too much and she simply could not think fast enough). But during the scheduled hearing, Ms Sabharwal ask the Judge for a 'long' hearing, two in fact for March 17 , and March 24, 2016 (a further delay of ten weeks because she was taking a 4 week vacation in February!!!), and nothing, nothing was accomplished --- damned frustrating because Ms Sabharwal was not prepared strong enough to proceed with any matter at that time. Another charge for $400 to kick the can down the road 10 weeks -- I knew then and there in the court room she appears disorganized, fumbles with papers, lobs out a lot of mumbo-jumbo legal words with the Judge -- that it, I know I am finished with her representing me in my case in court, but have to keep her on a bit longer to see if a visitation schedule can be worked out before she goes on vacation (and asks for another $1000). I had no confidence, trust and faith in her -- some pretty strong ingredients if you are going to retain an attorney to represent you in such an important matter affecting your family for the rest of your life.
