 I wrote this ripoff report on Sabrina Kirby. I contacted ripoff to take this report down after Sabrina had emailed me numerous times threatening to sue me, however, it is their policy to not remove reports by any means no matter what.

I would like to say that i regret writing this report about Sabrina, some of the things i said i was speaking entirely out of anger as i was frustrated by my interactions with Sabrina. I do not wish to slander Sabrina Kirby's name or character by any means and again i wish i thought about this more thoroughly before i quickly reacted to the situation. I think ultimately, Sabrina and I just had major miscommunication when dealing with each other. I want to publicly apologize to Sabrina for writing this report, maybe this will be a lesson to the both of us; Me to calm down before i react to situations, and for Sabrina to be more ontop of responding to people and answering ALL their questions in a prompt manner.

Yasmine Kugelman wrote the following email to me on 5/19/14 To: H. Sabrina Kirby; which reads

“im assuming the reason you stopped responding to me or answering ANY of my questions is because you are a fraud. You scam people into booking with you and once you get their credit card info you are done. You're a terrible person and i curse your mother for not having the abortion when she found out she was pregnant with you. You take advantage of honest people for no reason at all but to better yourself. Absolutely selfish, and its selfish disgusting pigs like you that make this world a f**ked up place. I wish nothing but terrible things to happen to you and your family. You are a disgrace to the human race and people like you should be punished. I will do whatever it takes to put your bad name out there so people can be aware of your shitty services you provide. Im only glad that i caught this myself first before your could take anything from me. i hope a piece of s**t like you rots in hell sooner than later. go f**k yourself :)

Can you imagine how this affected my 18 year old daughter as she read this email before I had the opportunity to do so. In her distress she called me to say “Mommy, you need to read your email from Yasmine”.

As a Justice of the Peace, appointed by a former Premier, yes I am guilty of being a single mother with two teenage children & an 83 year old mother to support & working 2 jobs to do so.  Yasmine was referred to me by a friend who is also a Property Manager. Yasmine contacted her requesting to rent her property for her & her 6 guests; however Yasmine told her that she couldn’t pay the one night deposit because she was trying to chase down her friends for their money; after many phone calls back & forth since she couldn’t afford to pay the deposit (in Yasamine’s words) “the deal fell through”, hence another client paid the deposit & rented the property.

Concessions I made to Yasmine; she called me requesting to rent my 3 bedroom cottage which is published on all our websites as accommodating 5 guests with a minimum of 5 night’s rental. She asked & I agreed to allow 7 guests (3 couples & 1 single) to rent it. We have a set of bunk beds & a single bed in one room, to accommodate one of the couples I offered to see if & how I can convert the beds to make a king size bed & move the other single bed out. Our policy states full payment to confirm reservation. She asked to pay half the payment as she didn’t have all the money, I agreed & “On May 13, 2014, at 11:54 PM, I wrote:

Hello Yasamine, Yes, customary practise is that the payment is made in full; however; we do offer options to our guests. If you like you can pay half down now & the balance in US$ cash the day of arrival. If that would be your preference, just let me know so that I can change the document to reflect $740.00. Warm Regards, Sabrina

I even emailed her authorizing her to change our Credit Card Authorization Form to reflect the amount she was able to pay for us to charge her Credit Card which she did & emailed me the completed document.

As you read the opening paragraph of this rebuttal that Yasmine wrote to me, where she has chosen to slander my name & reputation with unfounded allegations, cursing my family, compromising our health safety & income. This behaviour and attitude was unprovoked. Following the email to me she posted on a website called ‘Rip off Report” hence a true reflection of the type of person she is. My family & I are not deserving of her disrespectful revolting & irreprehensible unsocial behaviour therefore I have sought legal action & reporting this matter to the Police both in her town & in Bermuda. Needless to say, I don’t think she will make her planned trip to Bermuda for her friend’s wedding in August.

TRUTHS & FACTS:

Exhibit 1: Yasmine admitted that she found me on Homeaway.com therefore clearly she was able to see the property & our policies before even contacting me.

Exhibit 2: She admitted “they did not take any money” as “her Credit Card didn’t go through”. She frequently provided Credit Card information which could not be used to pay her Deposit to us because she admitted, she owed money on her Credit Card. Based on what she wrote on Rip off Report: she intentionally made her writing illegible hence we had to assume the correct Credit Card numbers. She admitted she only paid her bill the night before; Hence, No deposit was ever made or taken. When we ran her Credit Card May 17th, 5 days after receiving her information; as she stated admitting, her Credit Card was DECLINED.

Exhibit 3: She stated she couldn’t find ‘anything’ on me but I know she read numerous accolades of me being not only an Ambassador for Bermuda who works in Corporate Hospitality & Concierge for 2 of our 5 Star Hotels & the PGA.  I am known to be an honourable business person who is professional, accommodating & goes beyond the 'Call of Duty'.

FACTS: We have NEVER been sued. We are working on a new website; hence we disabled the old one last month & hadn’t updated our forms.

This is an excerpt of the information on our Credit Card Authorization Form that Yasmine received on May 13th, 2014 reads:

“Please complete the following details as confirmation of your reservation request and email this form to us to bermudaconnections@hotmail.com. Upon receipt, we will send via email your WELCOME & BOOKING Letter which The Bermuda Department of Immigration will require as proof that you have confirmed accommodations”.

In closing, I ask you to be the judge of whether my family & I should be cursed, slandered, threatened & disrespected in the manner that this young lady, whom I don’t know, & have never met, has chosen to do. Clearly a blatant case for defamation of character and an attempt to bring disrepute to innocent people. In fear of our safety an injunction is being considered & this document forwarded to The Bermuda Government Department of Immigration as it relates to her entry into Bermuda. I trust that she will not continue to threaten people in this repulsive manner without a care of how her inappropriate actions affects others.
