I am an owner of a local glass shop here in Las Vegas. Let me tell you about the BAD BUSINESS PRACTICES OF SAFELITE AND HOW THEY DECEIVE CUSTOMERS SO THEY CAN MAKE MORE MONEY.

Yesterday a customer called Safelite to get a price, they scheduled an appointment but continued price shopping. They called us yesterday, we gave them a cheaper price and the customer canceled their appointment at Safelite and scheduled an appointment with us tomorrow. Then next day when the appointment is scheduled, Safelite showed up as early as possible, parked AROUND THE CORNER, out of sight, did not identify himself as a Safelite employee and did the job. The customer thought it was us so he gave them the ok to do the job, but when the job was finished and the Safelite employee gave the customer the receipt, it was the original price and the customer had to pay the higher price because he already told the technician to do the work, not knowing it was actually Safelite.

This is what they do! They deceive customers, steal jobs from other glass companies and are just plain ruthless! That is BAD BUSINESS. We and several other glass shops around the country are in the process of starting a class action lawsuit.

If you choose to use this company, good luck because you're gonna need it.

First off, I am an employee of this particular location in Las Vegas, and I must say, you have some things that are completely wrong listed in the above report. I have some questions for you.

1. How is it possible that one of our technicians didn't identify themselves to the customer when they drive a van that has Safelite Autoglass plastered all over it? Safelite Autoglass is unmistakeabley written on the front, passenger and driver side as well as the back of the vehicle.

2. How is it even possible for a large cargo van to "hide" around the corner from a customer's house?

Every technician that works for Safelite in Las Vegas contacts the customer via phone and informs them of their estimated time of arrival. There are also courtesy confirmation calls that occur the previous day just as a friendly reminder that SAFELITE AUTOGLASS will be performing the installtion on their vehicle.

Like I have already stated, how is it that Safelite had deceived a customer when van is plastered with Safelite Autoglass all over, our technician wears a uniform shirt that also displays the company name on it, and our receipts also bear the company's name, address, and phone number?

You, the leader of a competitive glass company, the one who asked a nationwide corporation not to be competitive with, is filing a class action lawsuit for this?
