Safeway Auto Insurance delays claims and will not pay medical bills Lafayette Louisiana

April 3rd, 2004 2:32 pm, I was north bound on a city street, when struck on the drivers side by Amber smith Parker . She had ran a stop sign and hit my car spinning it 180 degrees through a ditch back onto the road and stoped in the oppsite lane. She was sited for No seat belts, no child seat, speeding, wreckless driving, and failure to obey traffic signs. She and her cousin got out of the car, she had her 1 year old daughter with her, which her cousin had took the baby down the street to avoid a ticket for no child seat in the car. I was in total shock and numb, not feeling my injurys until hours later. My daughter whom was in the front seat of my car was also injuried, and was also in shock.

The next day i had a friend take me to the ER and found i had nothing broken but did have whip lash, I couldn't move. Monday morning I called Safeway insurance company in lafayette. The claims rep by the name of brigette, wouldn't return my call, i tryed for three weeks to no avail. I was finally fed up with safeway and Hired a lawyer. He Sent me to a Relayable Dr, and I started my treatment, my spine had been twisted in the verical postion, and was cured 5 degrees to the right, I had pinched nereves all along my spine and my neck was board straight. After a month and a half after the accedent Ms, Bridgette called me to ask if I had really Hired a Laywer, I said yes and she hung up on me promotely.

This is now november 24th. And I have finished treatment. I have been released from the DR. and can go back to work. I will be getting a settlement in a few weeks. It took almost 3 months to get my car fixed, and the DR bills haven't been payed, the retal car hasn't been paid, and is going to collection, and will be on my credit record now. I have told them i will not pay it, if they want money to call safeway, they should get the same rude service as we all have form Sageway. Safeway is rated worset in the nation, they only insure people that can't get ins anywhere else. They have terrible service and are the rudest and unprofessional company on the planet .I have been in pain for 7 months, and i still can not lift anything heavy. The only way to even get a claim filed with Safeway ins is to hire a laywer, they hate laywers because they know they will have to pay out the claim .
