Safeway insurance group Added a minor to my insurance policy without notifying me and uped my rste Lafayette Louisiana

Not until Feb. 12,2018 was I aware that someone was added to my policy. I got three letters in one day from Safeway Insurance located in Lafette,La 1.re questing my address/ the same that they mailed these letters to and the same for 15 years.2. Stating my policy would be canceled for not giving proper info.3.My new policy rate that had gone from $600 to $2000 for 6 months,payment of $667. a month. I'm elder,disabled and on fixed income. I contacted the insurance company and was told that my grandson had been added from prior month to current. They keep telling me that was what claims department had done because he had been in an accident in my car. I couldn't get them to tell me WHO in claims had done this.

He had not been driving my car or been in an accident in my car. But because tbey screwed up and added him I had to go to insurance agency and sign a form to remove him. How professional is this??? I did just that 5 days later of receiving all the letters. I called my attorney and told him what had been done without my permission. The insurance told me they were within their legal ground. How can that be when i wasn't aware of what they did or did I contact the insurance and requedt to have him added to my policy.

While I was at agency I was told I would have to pay $180 for prior month that they added my grandson before my insurance would go back to original status. I told them I wasn't paying for their screwup. Two days later I was contacted by insurance company stating that I wouldn't have to pay for THEIR screwup. But I still had to sign another form requesting to remove my grandson again. This has been an experience I don't want to happen again. I cant understand how they are able to put whom ever they want on anyone's policy. Big screwup company.
