Saint (?) Matthews Church?

Ok, here we go. I have received mailings from this place for about 50 years. I have never given them anything. I do know people who did. All they received for their efforts was more requests for more money. Do not give your money to these parasites of humanity.

The last letter they sent me required I answer back in a given amount of time or I would get no blessing. It included the famous prayer rug, made of cheap gloss paper, which I must return. So that someone else can get blessed too.

Also included was a picture of a woman who just won $50,000.00. I may be incorrect on that amount, as I do not have the paper in front of me. She had given to this cesspool and her prayers were answered. Upon closer examination of the picture I found several items of interest.

1.Her cloths are from the 1950's/1960's. So is her hair. I recognize this as one of the reasons they used to use all the time. To try and influence you to give to them, so you might receive from God. I also recognize the picture form the very late 1950's to mid 1960's. They used to send it in almost all of the letters and request back then.

2.The prayer rug pictured with her has pomegranates in the border. Not the border that is on my current mystical prayer rug. The pomegranate border was used in the late 1950's and 1960's. The prayer rugs from that period had the pomegranate border.

3.They have no new material, and are recycling the old. It seems they must have had only one winner or prayer answered in about 50 years. Or so they claim. They also included some pictures of a church, services conducted inside. I can not place the church, but I know someone will.

4.The letter also seems almost threatening in its content. If I do not jump through hoops, pray on the rug, then send the whole mess back, I will not get a blessing. It also did not have the usual smattering of testimonials in it about how others had prayers answered.

If you get one of these requests, fold the whole mess up and send it back in the postage paid envelope. Let them know you are not falling for false hopes. Remember, God does not want your money. God wants your Soul.

I am glad to see many others are not falling for this crap.

If you want to support something, give support in your community where you live and work. Support your local church or charity. Or give as you can to the needs of others as you see the need.
